Fallout Shelter has finally released on the Google Play Store, so Android users can take a shot at running their own Vault. Fallout Shelter is Free-to-Play though there are some in-game purchases which are optional. IGN gave the iOS version a relatively low score, so keep that in mind. The micro-transactions are supposedly less intrusive than most mobile titles, so it might be worth a look for Fallout fanatics. Kotaku shared a few tips for the iOS version which should help those looking for assistance.

Yeah you can get some free Lunchboxes by doing tasks. Just hope your game doesn't crash when you're in the middle of opening one because you're going to loose what ever it contained.

Ugh. God that woman is so full of shit. I'm sure a pregnant woman would be more concerned about her baby than fighting raiders breaking into a vault. Reproduction would be something a recovering society would need to worry about. Aside from the fact that she is complaining about a shitty mobile game with barely anything to comment on.

I dunno, if my girlfriend was pregnant and got attacked, there'd be a hell of a lot less attacker in the world when she was done.

Why isn't it determined by the individual dwellers personality rather than just going "All pregnant woman are invincible and showcase this fact by running around screaming wildly while under attack!"

I mean, if they can do other stuff while pregnant, they can at least contribute to the safety of themselves and others.

That is my point somewhat.

It's a damned if you do, damned if you don't situation. If the pregnant women fought back and were able to die it would be portrayed as ultra violent or going too far.

If they are immortal baby makers who run around scared since they can't participate in fighting people will still be pissed. For the record Childkiller is one of the first mods I add in my Fallout games.

Yeah there really is no way to please these types. Her partner Jonathan McIntosh is worse though. He's the whiniest cuck out there. He was complaining about how DOOM 4 was too violent.... Seriously.

Let's not bring up these people needlessly, there is a thread on this retardation in the general discussion forum, let's leave it there.

Na I think she has a valid point. It's worth considering how women are portrayed in games. On another point: to add childkiller would have been a great idea! In Fallout Shelter raiders would literally be able to kick a pregnant woman in her stomach

Oversexualized women in games is a bad thing. Portraying pregnant women in a realistic way is not.

I'll give it a try, since it's a freemium.

Complaining about the importance of childbrith in a Post apocalyptic story is completely retarded, what is she expecting a Vault to do? Make children out of mud? Dress up giant bugs and pretend they are kids? I would think Vaults would be extremely insistant on getting the Dwellers to procreate, altho they would need to still control population so that they don't run out of space or resources, but reproduction would still be omni important, specially to keep genetic diversity up.

Then again some of these people paradoxically want things to adress social problems, but they don't want any character of specific groups to suffer certain experiences, even if they would be completely logical for the setting, because people might get triggered or offended.

Thought I'd give it a try, I like having something on my phone to pass the time. But it quickly becomes a chore. If you don't check in on your vault often enough things go to hell. But actively playing it is slow as fuck.

Oh, and I thought Todd said they wouldn't even offer real-money purchases in the game? I find it pretty low of a company like Beth to release junk like this, to be honest. They don't make enough money on regular game sales, so they have to lure the Candy Crush market as well.

I agree with pretty much everything said since my other post. I do have a question to ask. For people who purchased this app on an i-phone, i-pod, i-whatever; will they eventually see the Deathclaws and other additions as well at some point down the line ?

*I answered my own question, yes you do encounter Deathclaws and they are different then raiders. Deathclaws tend to jump from room to room and got past my heavily armed vault door guards, but did not kill them.
