Looks like a Michael Bay flick. Lots of explosions and scantily clad women. Doesn't seem to have the grittiness of the first 2 movies (I don't count the 3rd, it was a pile).

Seriously? I've played some of Skyrim and it's not that great, so I doubt it will be overshadowing anything, except in the eyes of hardcore fans.

I thought Borderlands had a similar feel to FO. I liked it better than FO3 though.

Fantastical world, swords, axes, knights, legions etc. If Tolkein destroyed 99% of the LOTR world and then wrote a novel about the aftermath, it would still be fantasy. In my opinion of course. Still it looks like a good game so I'll have to try it out.

I didn't like this in Oblivion, where you had different types of the same creature (eg. Goblins) that all looked the same but were a different toughness.

I wouldn't put Civ4 in the same category as an FPS for graphics requirements. As a top-line developer Bethesda should be using the best possible engine for their games. They're not short of money.

Bethesda need to give up developing their game engine. They don't have the expertise inhouse to get it right. If they licence an external engine they can put their resources into the game, which eliminates some of the obvious issues seen in these videos.
