The build I'm playing at the moment my protagonist has 5S so can carry 200 pounds. About 120 of that is weapons, armour/clothing, misc, aid, and ammo. I have Boone as my food/water mule and he's carrying about 75 pounds of that. I like to leave 80 pounds or so for picking up items for trade.

I dunno, isn't Fixer just temporary? You could justify it by there surely being something in the wasteland to take the edge off...
