Does anyone know the time limits for the mutant invasions of the towns? Most importantly, the Hub and the Followers. Because I believe that the ending bugs are due to these time limits since you can do the Caravan Deathclaw quest and still receive no ending for the Hub and the mod that restores...

I'm getting the classic 'Fallout appears to be running in compatibility mode' even though I'm not running the game in compatibility mode. It is only fixed when I uncheck the box to run it in 256 colours, but then the colour goes all wierd and fuzzy.

I've read that there is no way to get the 'good' ending for the Hub due to a bug even if you find the caravans, don't do any quests for Decker and not enter after 130 days or so ect. Is there a way to fix this?

Could someone please just reply how to install this mod: Fallout Update Mod v1.2.5 english version because that is the only thing I'm downloading. I need help on how to install this mod correctly.

I'm using WinRaR and when I try to extract the files using WinRar to the Fallout directory, it comes up with a load of crap about "access is denied". Im using the GOG version.

I haven't played through the game before and I think it would just be easier if I gained a perk every two levels instead of 3. That's why I said I'm finding it hard to 'adjust' to Fallout 1 and 2 considering I played 3 and Vegas first.

Is there any way I can alter Fallout 1 and 2 so that I can gain a perk every two levels instead of three, using a mod of sorts? Because I'm finding it hard adjusting to the perk system.

What computer/model do you recommend for gaming and patches/mods ect, as I'm going to start playing the 1st and 2nd Fallout and things like Deus Ex. If possible, Windows XP would be preferred.
