! Yes to both. Never had any problems related to the use of this, and to be honest, wouldn't recommend it , if it had. Using third party visual style doesn't need any program(like windowblinds) to apply. Double click that shit and it'll put it on Cursor FX is pretty good, ^^...

HEy What you're looking for John, is something called : UXTheme multipatcher once you have installed that, you can use any program like stardock bootskin, or assign your own loading screen however it's done. I been happily using the 'please stand by' image from FO for few years now...
