Try disabling DX-9 mode in OPTIONS->SCRN. I think Pixote did a great job. Overall it helped whole reality of Fallout. How would all those people survive in the wasteland without those farms? And it looks way nicer anyway.

Install in C:\Fallout or anything else other than Program Files since it creates bunch of errors in Windows Vista/7 Also make sure you update your DirectX since DX11 doesn't have all files from previous versions using DirectX Web Setup which will download missing files. Hope this helps

Disable DX-9 mod in SFALL in SCRN in OPTIONS. Just use plain HI-RES. There is no major difference unless you are trying to play in a window. If you disable it ALT-TAB will not be a problem no more. At least it is like that for me.
