Let me rephrase then. What is your favorite culture reference that made you smile after you saw something you like in fallout (apart from fallout itself obviously).
Since I'm a fan of American and English literature, I loved the reference of a quest in NV to Robert Burns' "For Auld Lang Syne"

Don't get me wrong. I was just saying that it sounded a tad fishy that the explanation for Vertibirds in Alaska was General Chase making them up.

What's up with that? Is it just so that fans would be drooling by seeing something they saw before, or is it actually justified? I thought Vertibirds hadn't been finished until long after the war by the Enclave.
I'm not necessarily spitting at FO3, I'm just curious about the lore.
