    Restoration Project Question

Yeah, I guess I am :D Well, as long as it doesn't screw up my game, I don't mind. So, does it work now? I'd like to help you, but it seems to be working fine with my game - I just replaced the two files. And if CityRepsCount have nothing to do with your problem, I don't know what could be...

    Restoration Project Question

I've been using sfall that comes with RP until now, your post actually encouraged me to try the latest version. You may want to try setting ;CityRepsCount=## (19 by default) to any higher number - 21 worked for me.

    Restoration Project Question

Are you using sfall that comes with the RP? It's already set up. If you still get the "Error loading cities" message, you might want to try changing "times_run=#" from 1 to 0 in fallout2.cfg, then mark the file as Read-only. EDIT: Actually, wait - this helps if you get the "Error initializing...

    Restoration Project Question

Download this file: http://www.dll-files.com/pop.php?dll=d3dx9_42 Put it into your Windows\system directory and you should be fine. Sometimes you have to download dll libraries separately for older games, I had to do the same for Neverwinter Nights 2. EDIT: Ninja'd by Nirran, sort of.

    Restoration Project Question

Well, good to hear you were able to install it. As for the "Access denied" message - 1) maybe the file's set as Read-only (not likely) or 2) Windows UAC doesn't allow you to modify .ini files, so you may need to turn it off.

    FO2 - Help with a map

Damn, I really can't believe this. I've finally figured out where I made mistakes, so I tried to compile the script with FSE. Everything looks fine, I get the "Script compiled successfully" line as usual... except that the script file isn't anywhere. I haven't changed any settings at all. I...

    Restoration Project Question

Oh my... Sorry, I don't want to sound rude, but this is getting a bit ridiculous. Here's what you should do: 1) Download WinRAR (it's easy to use and it can extract .7z files) 2) Install WinRAR 3) Download sfall 4) Right-click on the sfall archive and choose "Extract here" 5) Copy...

    Restoration Project Question

That might be the case, I just tried opening ddraw.ddl in Notepad and it shows the same bunch of characters. What Darek said - you need to open the other ddraw file.

    Restoration Project Question

Well, that "bunch of gibberish" actually has very clear instructions within it, it just takes more than one look at it. Each function has a commented line above it which tells you exactly what it does. For example: ;Set to 1 for a linear texture filter, or 0 to disable TextureFilter=1...

    FO2 - Help with a map

Many thanks, I was able to compile the script successfully. Another problem, though - the car still doesn't appear in the map. Do I have to do anything else apart from putting a line for my script in scripts.lst? EDIT: So, the last line in scripts.h in 'headers' folder looks like this...

    Restoration Project Question

Yep, same here - running it on Windows 7 64-bit. This may be a dumb question, but did you adjust the settings in ddraw.ini file?

    FO2 - Help with a map

Yeah, but I don't think I'm gonna get serious about scripting. It seems really complicated (I know it isn't so much once you get into it) and to be honest, I'm not willing to spend too much time learning.

    FO2 - Help with a map

So, I think I have the script ready for compiling, but FSE doesn't work on my 64-bit Windows, and just reading a tutorial on how to set up Watcom gave me a headache. Would anyone be so kind to compile the script and send it to me? You can download it here...

    Restoration Project Question

Thanks for a quick reply. Yeah, it was the "too many items" bug. I didn't have any useful save, but on the page describing the bug was a link for a tool which fixed it. Thanks a lot, I'd hate to start a new game now, as I'm quite far already.
