I've just finished reading it too. Definitely one of the bleakest but probably most realistic visions of the apocalypse by nuclear war, its a must read for anyone whose a fan of the genre.

Sounds like this movies gonna suck big style, but I'm sure the kids of today who've never read the book will love it. There's no way it can have the same sort of impact the book or the others films had, especially Omega Man being released in the 70's when there was a serious threat of something...
