Funny, for me the most anticipated game is War in the East : The Struggle For Russia. Been waiting for a 'sequel' to Gary Grigsby's War in Russia for 17 years and finally it looks like this is going to be it!
The ironic thing I've found out now after trying to finally finish FO3 with the FWE mod and others is that in this games' case, making it harder does NOT enhance the experience. On the contrary, while some combat encounters were fun and much more rewarding than in unmodded FO3, I've become...
This is true to an extent as for example an idiotic story of monsters from hell being fought in ridiculous locations by a lone space marine would be ridiculed by us now, YET back in 1993 when we were younger it seemed so damn cool!
On the other hand, we as gamers enjoyed a lot more complex...
Close. Rather they come to look at the same window I've just pulled 5 or 6 of their mates through previously or walk in the exact same spot where I've sniped a pile of half dozen of their buddies with my unlimited ammo. At least the other Splinter Cells made up for weak AI with level design...
I don't buy that 'it's unprofitable' bull. How 'profitable' have flight simulators been compared to Call of Shite or whatever, yet 1C still made enough with Il-2 to be making more flight sims. Eagle Dynamics continues to make even more niche and hardcore flight sims. 4X Space titles are...
What a crock of shite....
Where's Ultima? Wizardry? HOMM?
Where's Civilization?
Where's Doom? Quake?
What the hell is 'Tom Clancy's'? Tom Clancy's what? It's not even a series, just a brand name covering a whole bunch of unrelated games!
90% consoletard crap and a handful of the...
Well I've just restarted the thing with mods as suggested and STILL have hit the wall after 7 hours or so. It was fun for a few hours what with the limited ammo and slow leveling; hell just getting into Rivet City meant that I ran out of most of my ammo and stimpacks just before the big mutant...
Just restarted with FWE and Arefu along with the Marts Monster Mod and Fellout. Looks and plays so much better than vanilla(as much as can be done) and the ease of turning features on and off to customise your experience enhances it further. I for example like realistic needs, but don't like to...
Actually I liked EA's C&C 3. It still had the basic mechanics of the first two. Didn't like the Scrin much, but overall it was C&C. TT is a departure, more like DOW2. Non necessarily a bad game, but a game that shouldn't have been a C&C game as the mechanics are totally different.
The same...
Thanks for the info. I like some of the things in both these mods and as I've said, my FO3 experience will be a 'go through/grind through and throw away after' one.
He he , I'm in the same position as cratchety! Ran out of games and am looking at FO3 again. Last disappointment was Splinter Cell Conviction or should I say 'Sam Payne'. I'm ready now to retacle this old travesty and just finish the damn thing so I can say that at least all my money didn't go...
Hi, just finished all the RPG's and TPS that pretends to be an RPG (ME2) and have found my old dusty FO3 disk lying around. I wanted to ask what mods are there for it, and see that people have already suggested a few.
Which ones are the best though keeping in mind that I'll probably just play...
