I think this was mentioned a while back, but I couldn't find the thread. Anyways, every file, folder, etc on both of my hard drives are now marked as read only, and changing the flag under the file's/folder's properties has no effect. I'm running WinXP with SP2, my virus scanner didn't pick...

The game doesn't look that great. The Silent Storm expansion looked neat though. Probably in Russian though.

I had a similar problem. Any game involving 3d acceleration would lock up after 15-20 minutes. After swapping most of the parts in the computer, it turned out to be the video card (a Radeon 8500). I'm not sure if it was a cooling problem or the card was just defective, but buying a newer card...

Junktown- As mentioned before, most post-apocalyptic (I remember the first area was used in the demo as Scrapheap, right?) Old military installations (Military Base, Glow, etc)- Nicely filled in parts of the backstory Necropolis- I though it was one of the most atmospheric areas in the game

The most newbie thing I did in Fallout: I worried too much. "Hmm... This Necropolis place and it's ghouls sound difficult..." "Oh my god! A deathclaw! I'm gonna die!" "The Master is going to be so tough..." Psyched myself right out for a while.

Ahh... Strike Commander. I used to play it, and as far as I know I still have the CD version lying around somewhere. I'd dig it up and play it if I had a joystick.

AvP It'll probably suck, but it will have to do until Alien 5.

It doesn't matter if FO1 or 2 wins, so long as it steers people to them and not POS. That said, FO1 is better.

Perhaps they mean peace through superior firepower? This is the kind of stuff that makes me seriously doubt some people's sanity.
