    Lore inconsistencies

Ah, I see where I went wrong... I just looked up when F3 began on the wiki as 2258, but that's when the lone wanderer is born, not when he leaves the vault. My mistake. If the lone wanderer had left the vault in 2258, the time periods would have lined up quite nicely. I thought they were the...

    Lore inconsistencies

Well, they're slow. Power armor is bloody heavy stuff. Fallout2 is less than 20 years before fallout3. The brotherhood reached the capitol wasteland roughly 20 years before fallout3 (they got there before the lone wanderer was born). So that means the activist brotherhood elements had to...

    Lore inconsistencies

My understanding of this, and I perfectly admit that I am not an expert on this, it came about form this: After Fallout 1, the Brotherhood sent out troops to help clear out the remnants of the Master's army alongside the nascient NCR. Those combatants that had gone out and fought alongside the...

    Lore inconsistencies

There's a very big difference between an order and "orders". What they're really talking about is more colloquially "assignments". It's about the chain of command. A general can give an order to anyone under his command to get him some coffee. But a general isn't supposed to find a captain...

    Zero Punctuations review

Because he reviewed all that already before: http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/zero-punctuation/420-Fallout-3 It's not like it's really all that different from F3.

So as of Fallout 3, ghouls can be made instantly, huh?

Well, they were better equipped than anyone else in the mojave to deal with those nasty, pointy, teeth.

    Chief Hanlon *possible spoilers*

Personally, I told him that I was going to turn him in and he shot himself (and totally was expecting that). To be honest, I had no sympathy for him whatsoever. What he did was treason. He played god and got people killed, then took the coward's way out.

    Its a trap!

Now hold on a minute. F3's leveling system is so far and above Oblivion's that the two should never be in the same sentence. Seriously. TES leveling system is the worst RPG leveling system ever devised, and that includes those that have come out of Kevin Siembieda's orifice! So let's not be...

is it me or the map a bit small......

Rules/Gameplay-wise, SoZ was the pinnacle of 3e D&D. A shame about the plot (or, more precisely, lack thereof).

is it me or the map a bit small......

Is it me, or does this not sum up Bethesda entire design philosophy quite succinctly? Obsidian managed to pull off a system like that with the last NWN2 Expansion, but that's the only time I can think of in quite a number of years that I've seen an overland map.

So as of Fallout 3, ghouls can be made instantly, huh?

In a perfect world, maybe. But he mentioned something about not so much being stationed there as not willing to leave, since he had friends still there or something. I never really did much in searchlight...

So as of Fallout 3, ghouls can be made instantly, huh?

In FNV, they do feel a bit out of place, just hanging about in the wastes. In Fallout3, they were introduced, I think, because the designers needed an appropriate monster to fill the extensive DC underground. In the DC underground, the feral ghouls worked well. But out in the wastes where...

So as of Fallout 3, ghouls can be made instantly, huh?

Is there any reference to how long Searchlight has been like that? NCR arrived seven years before FNV. Maybe it's been that way since around the time of the original hoover dam battle?

The verdict on Caesar's Legion (minor early-game spoilers)?

Consider: If President Lincoln had been killed before Gettysburg, would Grant have changed his battle plan? It's harder to say in the case of the legion. It's far more a cult of personality. Would the immediate underlings that were present begin immediate fighting? Or would the discipline...

    Its a trap!

Seriously? You think that? F3 sold more copies in its first week than all previous Fallout games combined. The amount Bethesda cares about the criticism from hardcore fallout fans is infantesimal. To be perfectly blunt, hardcore fallout fan criticism tends to be seen just like the hardcore...
