Yeah the bridges and some of the abandoned houses were great. My vote for the best part of the game. But it just seemed like somebody decided that "hey good job there guy now lets fill the place up with creatures randomly roaming around so thick that the player doesn't seen how nice things look...
I feel sorry for the guy if he is the one that had to non proceeduraly place all those barren scrub brushes throughout the vast emptiness of Fallout 3's wastelands. Maybe thats why every three steps I run into a mole rat or something. To much empty scared him.
Thats a little sad. I remember finding some real gems from time to time during some of their "these pc games are too old lets sell them for a dollar" purges.
that actually sounds pretty nice of ye olde vacuum tube village. Ten bucks is about all I'm willing to spend on that flow-charted monstrosity of a game guide. Whats the point of playing when I can just read about it?!
I keep thinking that the power armour should have looked a little like the Zaku mkII from Mobile Suit Gundam. Lots of coolant hoses, the head pieces look similar, and shoulder plate/ shield would look nice in place of those 80's women's shoulder pads.
I like the gimp. The Mad Max look ( one sleaved leather armour anyone?) is more in the spirit of Fallout than a lot of what I've been seeing. The jaw on that deathclaw is just ugly though. I've seen the clay model and Its head was much more wedge shaped.
Sigh... I don't mean that it won't be a fun game. I look forward to playing it. I just hope some fan modding will make it more like the Fallout games I played in highschool. From what I've seen of FO3 it'll be fun but far from nostalgia inducing.
I believe modding will be FO3's only hope of redemption. The fans can make a Fallout that should have been. Like the Restoration mod for FO2. I know Oblivion was almost unplayable for me without extensive modding. Please please make a mod to remove slow motion explosive anatomy lesson!
GAH! what happened to that deathclaw?! I thought they were described in FO2 as FEV mutated Gila monsters or something. Definately not Big Ike the square-jawed Iquanaman. And the gimp with a gatling gun? what kind of Fallout is this. I do like that robobrain though. Yes that is very nice....
ugh! I hated the lock picking minigame in Oblivion. It got to the point where i just ato attempted or avoided them altogether. I suspect that I will be doing the same in FO3. Yay non stealth character i guess.
I'm getting less and less enthusiastic about FO3. I really don't want to play an Oblivion mod but I can't turn down a new Fallout game. Heres hoping the game isn't as bad as it is looking like lately.
