Well that's why I used the quotations, to try and subtly imply a negative utopia. Your pedantry is unbecoming.
Mea culpa for using 'utopia' with scare quotes.
When I used the word 'utopia' I was referring to A Brave New World's seemingly brilliant World State utopia with a catch. A 'negative utopia' to use Huxley's own adage if you will, but a far cry from the Orwellian dystopia one typically associated with the word.
Yes, this 'scaling' goes against the logic of the original Fallouts, where a level 1 character could go say hello to hardened Enclave troopers with Gauss pistols, 100s of HP and legal authority to riddle you with holes.
Yeah, I thought like Maine, in the USA when I read 'New England.' The concept is fresh, though, and anything that brings the franchise to this side of the pond is a good thing. So what kinds of factions are we talking about?
Oh.
I think 'New England' may lead to some confusion. You could go 'New London' and that wouldn't be so confusing.
Londontown is already post-apocalyptic. I couldn't imagine it getting any worse. Did I mention I fucking love this idea?
Well to be fair the Persians and Poles in the examples of ancient Greece and contemporary Germany 'looked' in many instances just like their respective Greek and German counterparts. Xenophobia knows not race necessarily. Racism in the low-brow usage only describes hate/fear over color whereas...
Typically xenophobia illustrates short term irrational fears of foreigners based on crude examples. The Persians interacting with the Greeks is the first Western example of xenophobia. However the reasoning for xenophobia can be as wide and varied as possible as hatred (a better word is 'fear')...
Yes, this needs clarification in the worst way. Did Germany invade Poland for xenophobic reasons (we can construe the 'Danzig crisis' as a xenophobic episode of sorts) or because of actual international grievances (ie. the desire to create a Greater Germany, plus the uncooperative attitude of...
Another country that partook in the 2003 invasion of Iraq for xenophobic reasons and has occupying troops there.
Yup, the most ruinous war for England and our Empire the world has ever seen.
