I just love how they said it really "illustrates our commitment" to please the fans and such, it's the most hypocritical statement of the year for me. I mean, first you go about calling it a 360 exclusive, then you're charging money for it, and I'm sure glad we've got the DLC to show your...
I think the Cookie is bugged to permanently give you an extra Action Point under certain conditions. I don't have a save state since I didn't notice until after my character had 14 Action points, but I've rested and tried a couple other things, but my AP is now permanently 14.
I think what...
If your character isn't doing very well in combat, you should get Myron and do the quest to get the Jet antidote. After that you can use Jet on yourself for every fight, which makes them all much easier. After every fight, use first aid or rest to pass about 30 minutes ingame and then give...
I never use drugs on my permanent companions. However, I do use them on myself and all temporary allies.
For instance, one simple method I devised of protecting Grisham's pasture is to simply give one cow 2 Buffout and 1 Psycho (Jet optional). Due to some flaw in the programming, giving one...
I think you should change this one thing for 2.1. It's not really such a big deal, since not many level 8-10s will have any Gauss ammo, but still.
When you connect to Navarro from Gecko's plant, and you be a wiseass with the guy that you speak with, he sends 2 Enclave guys with a vertibird...
Now who's to say I don't enjoy it? And Better Criticals is an awesome ability. Can't get an instant-death crit without it. But whatever, I'd not complain if he did get Slayer. The main problem is that, since there are only 2 final high-end perks, and 3 NPCs, one will likely come out...
I rather disagree with everyone else on Dex getting Slayer. He already ends up with a Critical Chance higher than the other two, and by a decent margin too. My two cents: give him Better Criticals.
I actually don't think anyone but the player should get Slayer/Sniper, they're pretty...
I mulled over the issue of Max Health and came up with a load of nothing. I have no idea why any of them would come out with more or less health than the rest.
Dex has the highest crit by a longshot, so all I can suggest is that he be ruled out for highest health for the sake of balance.
Every 3 levels sounds good. They level 4 times, right? So nine times out of ten they'd be maximum level by the time you got to the Enclave.
So that'd leave us with these factors depending on whether killap wants to still change the way they progress in level or not:
Maximum Health...
That's pretty much why I use the new NPCs, because I like them :D
Otherwise, I would definitely only pick powerful NPCs in every playthrough, which would get boring really fast.
Speaking of the new NPCs, has anyone else thought of an "explicit change" that we can suggest to Killap for...
Even when they have guards, there are still problems. That vendor with Power Armor in SF is easily dispatched with dynamite, and the guards aren't set to protect his tables, just his person (and even that ineffectively)
On a totally useless aside, I like what Eldridge says to his dogs when...
That sounds good, but wouldn't a player who got the best Skynet already have a good enough Science skill? You have to hack a computer to get him, and Myron can't help with that.
Edit: That's assuming you got the best one of course, I've never bothered using the other ones.
Seeing the NPCs code up there, I think there is definite room for improvement, but at the same time less than I expected. The major thing I feel is that they all need to be differentiated, like I said above, so they feel like different NPCs every time. They all end up proficient with just about...
Pretty easily justifiable in-game, story-wise as well. I mean, you consider how many Enclave troopers there are in each patrol, and how frickin' many there are in the grid sections around Navarro, and it's not difficult to imagine patrols that have pretty much scoured the area of all threats.
