How did you discover Fallout ?

You know what's really weird? I have no idea. I remember playing Fallout for years, i must have got it pretty soon after it came out, but i have no recollection of buying it or finding it or borrowing it at all. There was just a time when Fallout simply was, and no time before that. Then...

    Fallout Easter Eggs

Wow, it tells me it's been two years since i was last here. Spooky. Just reinstalled FO1 (Again) to reply it, and found that the desktop icon is an odd digitised photo of a man in glasses with a beard? Is this a developer? If this has already been covered and everyone's sick to death of...

    Messiah

OK, i may have made a horrible mistake buying this game in the first place, BUT It seems that the game will work, but with no sound effects at all, and only works in it's own safe mode. I went onto Iplay's website, and it has no reference to the game anymore, are they embarrassed by it...

    Lasers VS Bullets

Might interest you all to know that in Issue#60 of Front magazine, there is an article on Police weaponary, and it tells us of several weapons in development and testing worldwide that could loosely be called Laser guns. Active Denial System - In New Mexico's US Air Force Research lab, they...

    What the fiznuck Chiznuck?

"Anytime a player can whip out his piece and blow off the head of an enemy has got to be described a gritty" - Chuck No. Blade Runner has a dark gritty atmosphere, the Fallout series is gritty. Dark sci-fi commentary on human nature and corruption = gritty. Black clever humour within a finely...

    weapons ideas

Oooh ooh, weapon modding like attaching bayonets would be good too. Or to the lesser extent a gunsword similar to that of cervantes in soul calibur. Although that wouldn't work so well. Mmmm. sharp and pointy.

    weapons ideas

Or something like a "Bar-fighter" perk, where for a penalty of APs or karma he can fashion a weapon out of anything in the location/inventroy. EG: ripping a length of wire out of a computer for a garotte, or a broken wine bottle, or breaking the leg off a chair. Stabbing with an empty stimpack...

    Dead bodies

I think this is a really cool idea, the bit about the equipment being dispersed around the less-reputable occupants of the location, or if it is a vital quest item, it's safe to assume that it would find it's way to the nearest shop given that other npcs who'd loot a body wouldn't know what it...

Seeing How there will be less firearm ammo how about

I think that the idea of unexpected attacks is a good way to make an unarmed fighter more effective. If a character is carrying even something like a handgun, they're still quite big and heavy, so unless he's armoured and it's a small gun it could be relatively visible. Obviously not actually...

player chooses colors for armor- idea

That would work really well IF the new game has much more emphasis on crippled limbs etc. If getting shot in the knee really is a big hindrance and you can't get away from the advancing super mutants heading towards your prone body with rippers, you'll really think twice about leg armour.

What ya gonna do if FO3 turns out to be..........

Hello from the sunny shores of England. The answer is simple. If FO3 turns bad (God forbid) then what we should ALL do is this: Buy it, write a suicide note saying that fallout made us do it and use a stanley knife to carve lumps off the FO3 CDs and then swallow them until we choke to death...

    Imagine...

Actually it's quite a cool idea, but it'd have such a gargantuan impact on the game play it'd be a bit unfeasable, it'd mean that all of the locations that continued on from the previous game would have to be completely dispensible bit-quests. I mean given the size of NCR think of all the XPs...

Lasher of the children guy, screwing me?

That's definitely your problem, you HAVE to be alone. I wanted to finish the game this way, and i had to take dogmeat out into the wastes and -sniff- put him down. So no CNPCs.

    Loxley Returns

If anyone's ever been around the British midlands over the past 20 years or so, they have probably been to a town with a record shop called "Andy's Records". Now Andy's is dying out, and financially in deep do-do, Andy himself goes to branches, and his entering words without fail are...

    United Kingdom VS U.S.

In general, the UK isn't any more or less liberal than the states, with regard to what can and can't be in games or films, it's central european countries with much stricter guidelines on it, and i think there's your answer to the no-kids question.
