Apparently from the ISP's that are supposed to pay - they benefit from this by reduced traffic etc. As over 50% of internet traffic is P2P traffic.

Actually in Fallout 2 in the when you enter the miltary base that is overtaken by mutants you can find a lonely mutant 'talking' to some molerats that he is apparently hunting (just standing around talking to them, mockingly) When you approach him he attacks saying something along the lines...

L4D is going to be great..and if you say otherwise then maybe coop gameplay is not for you
