Hello again, NMA. :) Good to hear you've got them both as originals now, [MoD]. I moved recently and my folks said they had a special case to put in the most valuable stuff, so I handed Fallout 1 & 2 over to them. Then Murphy's law kicked in. They can't find the case. Those are originals...

A heads-up for anyone wanting to buy the original F1 & 2 (i.e. with big cardboard box, stylish manual, etc.). There's a fellow on eBay selling both originals seperately. Probably not in the best of shape but hey, it's been ten years or so. Fallout 1 on eBay. Fallout 2 on eBay.

Really like the second one, except for the whole 'holding two guns that need two arms each' thing, too Rambo-y.

I've come across a bit of a problem concerning killap's patch... I downloaded the Final-B version of it, simply because the other one said US only in the downloads section and I have the UK version (no kids, darker-type box art). Though in the readme.txt it says "killap's Fallout 1.02+ US...

As long as you don't make any money off it, I think it's okay. I'd check it out thoroughly before going at it though. Lawsuits and all :(.

For disk defragging I use Diskeeper 8.0. Though not free, certainly worth the money. for RAM and registry defragging, TuneUp Utilities 2004 is my pick. This one, again, isn't free :(. www.diskeeper.com www.tune-up.com

Funny how you should mention it, my current PC hardly ever treats me to a good band of moving targets :(. The PC being a 3.0 GHz one, I suppose I'll have to live with that though. Oh well, caravan jobs do it just the same for me :D. Hmph, so that explains why playing the game on the hardest...

I'd prefer not to have them at random encounters. That would mean taking anti-rads just to travel safely :(. And I thought the Power Armors resisted rads already? Or at least fend rads off to a certain extent (concluding from Holodisks from the Glow).

That might be because the citizens themselves don't know better. As hardly anyone ever leaves Vault City. Much like regular Vaults. I think ;). Not being able to rest there has to do with the Day Pass thing. You get kicked out of Vault City if you stay there in the evening/night. I have no...

EDIT: Nevermind, found my solution on page 11. Silly me. Anyway, great patch, this irons out those last few turn-offs Fallout 2 had. Adds a lot of gaming and replay value. Nice work!
