    The screenshots thread

Sure, but it's a living thing. You don't have the luxury of fixing bugs in fallout2 engine (apart from hooks and other hacks). And you've got pleeenty possibilities to extend it. It's pretty flexible, as you can extend it natively (by providing a dll that will hook itself to the engine), and...

True, it wouldn't. I just wanted to "put my mind on ease";)

    Postworld Update

It indeed looks very good, but it doesn't say anything about other, more important factors: work organization, realistic goals, software development processes and all that things that make difference between properly managed project, and the project that is dommed to fail. In my opinion such...

J.E. Sawyer on key dialogue writing concepts

Yeah, I've played it recently, there is lots of options that gave me the feeling they're only there for 'cosmetical' reasons. But I doubt it improves the aesthetics of the dialog - especially if you can easily spot that you've just been tricked by false option (even without reloading and...

466Mhz Celeron and 128MB RAM. 3-4 minutes to load final saves at oil rig. And then getting ~150 points of damage out of nothing...Didn't finish it first time.

FOnline: 2238 third open beta in progress

It works per-map. So if there is TB assigned for some map, every player that is there when there is combat active acts in turns.

FOnline needs YOU! (to sound like Ron Perlman)

It has the advantage of being playable even now - more content will be added over time, but there is no clear notion of 'completness' like in single player games. At least I always viewed it like this - a game that will NEVER be finished by definition:)

Jinxed - yes (as a part of total combat conversion which is implemented using reversed fo2 alg) Chem reliant - not yet, but it may be soon, as drugs are being worked on now.

    FOnline: 2238 Developers Video #2

Won't be so easy because if you (somehow) acquired APA, it doesn't mean you can go around yelling "Anklav Patrol". I'm pretty sure such renegade group would quickly run into troubles with _real_ Enclave authorities...

    FOnline: 2238 Developers Video #2

To be honest Fallout graphic is about the actual content - art (sprites), not about rendering code - shaders/scene management (like in modern 3D stuff). This is why we love 2D games anyway...
