Got it to work! Alright well it looks like I have an update. I tried different video driver versions (ATI Radeon X850XT), removing Service Pack 3 and reverting to SP2, and installing the game on another machine (also Windows XP SP3), none of which worked. I was just about at my wit's end...

I checked the compatibility settings but nothing was checked. I'm also sure that I installed it correctly. As a test I installed the game on my old Windows 2000 installation & the high-res patch seems to work just fine on that. I don't know... I'm thinking maybe it has something to do with...

I can't get this to work for me. I followed the installation instructions and it said the Fallout executable (US 1.1) was patched successfully. Even tried modifying the resolution settings in the .ini file but the game refuses to budge from 640 x 480 x 8bpp. Any suggestions? Running Windows...
