And now they throw away that bone with Cthulhu-wannabes under the Mojave :/ I found exactly 4 references to New Vegas in Crapout 4, with all of them relatively subtle or hidden.
They most likely are pissed of that Obsidian did a better job than them, with less money and time.
Most of the time I find antagonists to be more fleshed out as a characters/faction than protagonists, and they are more enjoyable to watch/read/play as. This applies to all fiction media I've come to contact with (with relatively few exceptions). Brotherhood of Nod (C&C), Galactic Empire/Sith...

NV's DLCs are one of the best in the genre and hands down the best that "modern" Fallouts offer. If I had to pick the one I enjoyed the most it would be Honest Hearts, it offers welcomed scenery change, nice piece of worldbuilding and if You are fan of exploration, this is THE DLC. But honestly...
