Actually, when you mention it to the Cult's leader or his wife that Lucas Simms is looking for someone to defuse the bomb, their response is outrage and calling it 'Blasphemy!'
Which is why I always thought it odd that they didn't react in any way to the bomb being defused..
If that's the way you feel, go back to playing Half-Life, or S.T.A.L.K.E.R. or any other number of FPS games that give you what you're obviously after. The rest of us want to play Fallout, however.
Plus the terrain is a lot more motorbike-friendly than it is for cars. All those narrow passages and steep paths between cliffs. Not to mention it's slightly easier to try and shoot a gun atop a motorbike than firing one from inside a car, or at the very least, you can pull over on a bike and...

It's really a rather dense question to ask for a mod or some kind of fix like that anyway, since anything that's custom for the game would automatically mean that it could be undone anyway.
Amusingly enough.. when I first saw the schematics for the Shiskebab, the first thing that came to mind was a spinning fanblade on a long handle, covered in flames.
To be honest, such inventiveness shouldn't be beyond the grasp of an intuitive person with the right kind of twisted...

This mod makes it so that your accuracy in VATS becomes more dependent on your skill with a weapon rather than distance.
