Bethesda clearly used them so they could set a good guys vs bad guys story. Nothing about the East Coast BoS makes sense whether it be their goals or the very armor in which they wear.

My first Fallout was Fallout 3 but I didn't care for the story so I sold it to Gamestop just a few days after my purchase. When I heard about New Vegas I thought I'd give the series another try and I absolutely adore it now.

The debate is about the origins of the Super Mutants not their combat. The West was created as an army for a psychopath while the East just magically exists and serves no purpose but just that. Bethesda used the Vault 87 super mutants just so they could make their crap game look like Fallout.

This is perfect.

Without Fallout 3, there would be no New Vegas so its alright in my books.
