yah I read that from guides etc. but how come its not presented properly in-game?
seems like they were really rushing, the plot was unfolding BEAUTIFULLY up to then but suddenly once you pick sides its a blur and then the endgame credits.
Well as the original poster, I ended up with something like
guns 100
energy weapons 50
lockpick 90
repair 90
science 70
speech 80
sneak 70
melee 30 (wasted points)
unarmed 90
everything else n00b
preferred kit: silenced sniper, all american (all round), that machine (COD...
VATs is super useful because so many enemies in this game move at insane speeds. The extreme example is a cazador, not only super fast but super slim
Heck even your stock human NPCs run faster than you.
Agreed the place for VATs is up close facing multiple enemies who are moving fast...
unarmed is way OP no question.
So many killer perks too.
I only started building up my unarmed @ level 20 but by endgame (30) I was primarily running around with pushy and Veronica with ballistic fist lol. Standard procedure is to headshot the first two suckers with sniper rifle then run...
OK so I took the independent quest line.
I upgraded the bots but knocked off Mr house to use them for myself.
Yet the ending is the Legion attacking NCR at the dam with no buildup or explanation cutscene etc., you quest is just to get to the dam and power up the grid. But the bit I'm the...
whenever i walk around camp mccarran with EDE the troops all start blazing away at EDE only. They seem perfectly content with myself and boone. So now I have to make EDE wait outside the camp lol
nevermind I'm going to abandon all hope of a melee build. All th good melee perks require unarmed LOL. And I'll have to put 3 entire levels worth of points into unarmed just to get the perks opened up. In meantime the perk points are going to go to waste (unless you can save them up??). Also I...
funny I remember playing FO2 on my Pentium 90 or something like that, back in the dialup days. I didn't patch it and I don't remember any bugs at all. Not trolling absolutely true.
FO3 and NV on the other hand LOL
thankfully haven't run into any quest breaking bugs that a reload didn't...
Yeah the repair 90 perk I noticed would be super handy. I've got some nice weapons that are starting to wear and the cap cost to repair is ridiculous - over 5k. (ranger armour, all-american, Q-35 etc.)
I think I'll go for an all rounder combat build though guns 90 energy 70 melee 70 just for...
OK thanks
I only have 5 intel but I did take educated so I think melee is out. I already wasted around 25 points on it (sigh). Oh well I am a stealth shooter anyway.
Its kinda lame how important lockpick is compared to science and / or repair IMO. Lets not even talk about how useless...
Is it possible with the skill point / magazine distribution in the game to make a char that is
- excellent guns (90+)
- ok melee (60+)
- decent energy weapons (70+)
and still have excellent sneak, lockpick, repair and speech?
I am neglecting barter, survival, unarmed, gonna leave...
