I bought FNV on GOG yesterday, wanted to paly it today. Upon making a fresh install, runtime error R6030 appears even before applying any mods. I tried removing and installing clean VC++ redist, updating GPU drivers, running it in Admin mode, putting d3dx9.dll and dummy d3dx9.txt into my game...

It struck me just recently when I attempted to play Arcanum (yet again), that I will probably never be able to dive deeply into it. I'm in the second location of the game now and already know that I will probably drop it soon. Mind you, I rarely get captivated enough to finish a game these days...

You good sir must be kidding, right? If you are familiar with DnD , BG games are a breeze without difficulty improving mods (maybe just a little grindy in the very beginning). Definitely good RPGs though. As mentioned earlier, Planescape Torment is a must as well (probably the most inspiring...

Diablo 1 OST is great, especially Tristram: Glad the HoMM3 and Starcraft got mentioned as well, from the latter a lot are good, my favorite probably being: Somehow it fits so well in the background, the sequel just couldn't replicate it for me.

First cRPG would be Fallout 2, didn't have my own PC at the time, played it at a friends house (powerful Pentium MMX 133 MHz machine :D). PnP would be Warhammer RPG.

Another thing worth mentioning is that they rolled out 1.3 W3 patch together with GoTY edition, it fixes quite a lot of stuff actually.

It's normal occurence if it was critical miss, you "technically knockout" yourself
