I hadn't really seen a clear explanation of how the production process with reference to graphical content was organized until now. That makes everything much more understandable.
Personally, i don't entirely buy energy weapons as a separate category. If I'm skilled at using a 9mm pistol, why is using a laser pistol a fundamentally different skill? There would be some differences perhaps, but the main principles would be the same and skills learnt using the pistol would...
I think one of the reasons they're delaying the video is to get it looking more finalized than the WIP shots and finally put this 'cartoony' criticism to bed.
He can always sell it in terms of "I can make the next game, but this is all we can afford, if you back this project and we raise X, we can make the game bigger and add A,B and C"
Not really that different to a Project with stretch goals.
I wish the game had spent more effort on trying to justify the legion, it's slightly late for Josh Sawyer to lay it all out for us. Would of been better to lay it out more inside the game. Some points are made, but its generally lost in all the misery of the Legions methods.
I don't think a PR Company who is used to controlling literally every word you say, could handle a project like Wasteland 2 if the development process is going to be open minecraft style.
