Sfall trojans?

First time out of the vault
I use AVG Internet security. It is detecting 2 Sfall versions as being trojans. Versions 4.3.3.1 - Extended Install.exe and Version 5.0.1.1.exe. Is this a "false" reading?
Which version of Sfall is the most recent trojan free version?
 
dude that is some heavily outdated stuff u have there.. those are indeed filthy.. no sfall is an "install.exe" nor 5.0.1.1.exe

sfall comes packed in an archive and the main component is ddraw.dll and ddraw.ini plus some other stuff..

go fetch a newer version either sfall5 from Mr.Stalin's gitflic page, or vanilla branch sfall from sourceforge.. they differ in versions however sfall5 5.0.1.1 is some really outdated shit

Bare in mind that if you were unable to find those, you'll likekly have even more trouble setting it up.. I advise You to use a game repack with a tailored version of sfall, since You have slim chance of understanding what you are doing, when it doesn't launch out of the box ( and it won't)

i said In Nevada and Sonora REPACKS....

Native nevada band Fallouts come without any sfall, Only repacks such as Foxx's or _Pyran_'s releases come with sfall-extended or sfall5 ( both flavours are of Mr.Stalin origin.

I'm sorry I don't know what a REPACK is. Because of this you want to insult my age? Got news for you, I was playing the original game when it came out. I'll wager I am older than you. If your goal is to assist or inform people new to modding, perhaps try being a little less condescending.

Sorry to be rough around the edges.. I'm just getting anoyed when someone does not read with understanding..

Never mind that.. since you don't know what a "repack" means.. all my ramblings seem in vain..

A fallout mod "repack" means an alternative release made by someone other than the original author.. in this case the original author is Nevada Band studios a russian based indie gaming studio.. and Foxx's/ _Pyran_'s repacks are alternative sources of the nevada band studio games since those games are released fee-free so to speak.. and Nevada Band studios relese their games in as basic form as possible (a.k.a no sfall, vga-only res no quality of life thirdparty mods) some people decided to publish an alternative version that includes sfall and some QoL mods like inventory filter, party orders etc., hence why i said:
only Nevada and Sonora "Repacks" include sfall.. since pure stuff straight from nevada band's site doesn't.


Now I assumed You're a kiddo because i took your answer as lack of attention span/ lack of reading comprehension.. which is "usually" the case with younger generations.. i did not realise it is possible not to know what's a repack.. ( it's literally as if you've never downloaded anythin from internet before.., or not knew at all what internet is.. that would make you old.. XD ) i don't want to argue with you about who's got a longer and more stiff dick in who is older matter, as that is childish as well...

It's all good. *US* cranky old timers need to stick together. I'm new to the "modern day" versions... I remember Fallout - Nevada from the Interplay.com website. (That should date me enough.)

I don't know if you're checking if i'm senile but i'm not..
Fallout Nevada is a total conversion mod interplay's site was long dead before the studio behind fallout nevada and sonora ever came to existance.. i know the games look as if made by interplay, however in reality it was just a bunch of passionate russian modders, that spat it out.
Long story short fo1 fo2 are interplay products.
Any other classic fallout is a total conversion mod, unrelated and not made by interplay..
I don't know what are you trying to pull here, but i ain't falling for it
 
Yes, I remember the mods being available on their downloads page. I know Nevada, Sonora, Resurrection, Olympus, and others are fan made mods. Circa 1997.

No mate.. Resurrection came to be circa 2012 and got translated around 2016, Nevada is 2016, translated around 2018, Sonora is ~2020 translated properly late 2024, Last Hope emerged first ~2005 Olympus came inbetween Nevada and Sonora and was made by Nebesa Game studios if i remember correctly.. Interplay ceased to exist ~2003.. despite me registering to the forum late 2009, i was a long time lurker here before registering.. i witnessed all of this, so no chance of those mods actually being displayed on Interplay site.. unless some individual or their son actually got in contact with doc Emmet Borwn and that pimped up as a christmas tree delorian deuxe.. took a trip to the late nineties to offer tim cain & co the already finished product.. now that's less likely to happen than You missremebering stuff..
 
Alright, enough. Must be an alternate universe then or a Mandella effect. I know I downloaded Nevada from Interplay.com. I'm done arguing with you about it. Please stop responding.
