My parents recently watched the Deadwood movie and I got interested to watch the series now that it was finished. Mom told me the movie sucked.

Much love to a fellow autist. Ya see only those with a high level intellect, that lack social cue detectors, can truly enjoy series that have died. The OG Resident Evil type games are my favorite. Galerians is a gud one.

I'd say the remake of resident evil 2 was wildly successful in taking old school survival horror and making it work with over the shoulder camera.

Except they fucked the Zapping System up.

Honestly thats the exact one thing I never gave a shit about in the first two games. Honestly would've preferred if Claire had an all new campaign that diverges from Leon's campaign at the precinct fairly early on. They could keep in touch with walkie talkies or some shiz.

Never liked it because it muddles canon. That's actually the main reason. Who really did what? I don't fucking know and that sucks.

Actually it is easy to know. Claire did the Birkin stuff. Leon did the Tyrant stuff. Ada threw the rocket launcher.

Also I have to say for the first time in my life - fuck canon.

Well for example look at re 1. We have an ending where Jill is rescued and one where Barry is rescued. Which means that in both endings a character who is canonically alive is left behind. You wot m8?

It is easy enough to imagine a third scenario that was not playable being the ending. You must consider also they did not anticipate how strongly some characters would be liked. Not ideal but better than adhering to the canon really.
