I stopped playing it before beating it.

I did too tbh. Couldn't find two chess pieces for like hours. Came back a couple months later to find I'd already found them and they were in the item box. https://youtu.be/UZDcDJda3qg

But after that I beat Leon A and a couple hours later and I'm already almost to the lab in Claire A. Love this game.

It's just a really mediocre remake. I'll make a decent attempt to work my way through at some point. I knew they would drop the ball.

RE2 is probably my favorite RE game but the hit and run kind of gameplay of the remakes makes me less urged to play it. I don't like running from challenges i like getting through them.
