I'd rather have Zenimax purchase Obsidian than have Bethesda purchase Obsidian.

Part of the reason why the latest DOOM game is so great, is because Zenimax made iD get their shit together.

So I watched the video, and I cringed.

zenimax is the reason why elder scroll were dumbed down and made into MMO (ESO). a corporate with investor is never been a good thing. had zenimax never purchase bethesda in first place, bethesda will just be another independent developer like CDPR

also zenimax is also why DOOM multi is another CoD clone. new quake also prone into this if what hassknecht theorize is true

Zenimax forced iD to cancel RAGE 2 and also made them scrap what was dubbed 'Call of Battle DOOM.'

I heard DOOM multiplayer was made by another developer, probably Zen', but the DOOM single player is amazing.

I guess I'll change my mind here, from your points. Obsidian should stay independent, or be purchased by another company, preferably CDPR.

I don't think CDPR is into publishing games (unless things have changed since I've last checked). It would be better if Paradox bought Obsidian since the two have been working together successfully since Pillars of Eternity (and are still working together for Tyranny).

While Paradox and Obsidian are working together...

Paradox develops strategy games.

Obsidian makes RPGS.

It wouldn't work out smoothly.
