unfortunately, the way new vegas filled with bugs, crappy engine and graphic makes my friend who i reccomend this games, feel intimidated to get started. I dont have problem to convince Divinity OS, Deus ex human revolution, ..etc, so its rather sad.

A "proper modern video game" to me is like GTA V or UNCHARTED y'know it's fun as fuck, genuine good times are had, but you forget about it as soon as you're done.

GTAV=Big game with repetitive meaningless "activities", Uncharted 4=Linear game with generic gameplay.
