It's been too long for him to reasonably have lived in V13 unless he's secretly a Deathclaw. :P

Not necessarily. 2241 is when the V13 dwellers are kidnapped by the Enclave, but I think it would only really work if he's in his 60s by New Vegas, otherwise he'd have been just a kid by the time the Enclave showed up.

I think there's a difference between paying respect to old games and being unwilling to move on.

Well he could be from New Arroyo. Although I can't see a reason to leave that place once you're there

@CT Phipps I mean yeah, the series should move on, however that doesn't mean they can't redo basic tropes a couple times as a continuity nod.

No you noob, they all start with vault 101 jumpers. They did in Fallout 3 and 4. Hahaha. You probably like those bad games also called Fallout with bad graphics. Thank Todd Bethesda saved the franchise and improved upon it.

And c'mon, @CT Phipps , Bethesda shoves on your face things "that make Fallout... Fallout!" To please fans, no matter how nonsensical they are. Let some fanservice for us, could you?

I always found him being from Vault 21 and giving you the jumpsuit kind of weird and pointless. I get it's tradition but Vault 21 has nothing to do with the story and is just a hotel, I always end up trashing the thing immediately anyway because Fallout 3/New Vegas Vault suits look like aids anyway.
