    EFAP on Fallout

CT has established by now that he mostly gives high scores to own the chuds.

Five Common Misconceptions about Fallout: The Series

It's 700k during the time of Fallout 2, not NV.

Five Common Misconceptions about Fallout: The Series

But didn't you earlier try to argue that Shady Sands isn't even the capital anymore and it moved prior to the nuking, and that's why the NCR isn't actually gone? Which then shifted to the NCR splintered into several people claiming rightful authority? Now it's "NCR is dead and here's why that's...

My review of Fallout: the Series Season One 9/10

Women aren't safe anywhere else. The Legion isn't supposed to be the permanent solution, it's the first conquering step to unify and pacify the wasteland before actual civilisation is reestablished. Caesar wants the people to be hard to survive, but ultimately he doesn't see the Legion as the...

The first Season of the Fallout tv show is out

Nah I still don't like them. I enjoyed the post-Endor EU content a lot more in the early to mid 2000s, although KOTOR is a great game.

My review of Fallout: the Series Season One 9/10

Yet in the Legion controlled area people can live a relatively safe life. Caravans are not pestered by raiders, and crime is severely punished. Freedom vs security, some people in NV mention that life in the Legion areas isn't too bad if you keep your head down. All a matter of perspective...

How would you do a Fallout Show?

I would not lean too hard on the 1950s aspect in terms of visuals, and instead focus on the science fiction aspect. Hire Red888 for concept arts, he gets it.

Five Common Misconceptions about Fallout: The Series

I have the suspicion that CT actually thinks NCR is just the city of Shady Sands because we only see that part in Fallout 2.

Five Common Misconceptions about Fallout: The Series

NCR was a new thing, Shady Sands was just a small village in 1. BOS is just two bunkers and a few side quests. The Super Mutants are just remnants of the Masters Army, mostly living together peacefully with humans and not being an enemy. The landscape had evolved in a natural fashion since...

Five Common Misconceptions about Fallout: The Series

The setting of Fallout 1 and 2 is the West Coast. But the world of Fallout is more than that, and different factions and events would spring up according to the fictional histories of the region. "Fallout" isn't determined by the inclusion of a handful of markers like BoS or Enclave, it's by...

Five Common Misconceptions about Fallout: The Series

Fallout isn't just BoS, vaults, supermutants and deathclaws. It's a world built on the principle of "the World of Tomorrow but Mad Max happens in it". You can develop a lot of interesting stuff with it. Other characters and other factions. But it requires you to understand the world and how it...

My review of Fallout: the Series Season One 9/10

Absolutely. Thing is, neither F3 nor F4 had the quality of writing to let me not hate the story. At least F4 had a different game aspect on offer. In F3, you're kinda stuck with having to engage with the writing at all times.

My review of Fallout: the Series Season One 9/10

Hence Sim Settlement, it takes away a lot of the micromanagement and makes the system a lot more satisfying. Without it the game is just arse on all levels, except the graphics being better than F3, not that that's a high bar. Thing is, to me F4 can be turned into something somewhat enjoyable...

My review of Fallout: the Series Season One 9/10

Yeah. It's in all ways a worse Fallout game than even Fallout 3. It is absolutely terrible as an RPG, it has a shitty story and is generally as wide as an ocean and as shallow as a puddle. It has a lot of good ideas, and all of them are executed so half-heartedly it hurts. But the gameplay loop...

Humungus gang was pretty cool. Lots of details in all the different gang subgroups. Former cops, former military... generally the costume design had some insane details. Love the movies.

My review of Fallout: the Series Season One 9/10

Oddly enough, I like F4 better than 3 because like Skyrim it can be made turned into an enjoyable sandbox with a bunch of mods, while Fallout 3 is just irredeemable to me.

The first Season of the Fallout tv show is out

Personally I see Fury Road as a sort of soft reboot and not really part of the original trilogy. Man, I was massively into Star Wars when the prequels came out and had devoured the EU books I could get from the library. I was already disappointed when the Clone Wars were less cool than the Zahn...

My review of Fallout: the Series Season One 9/10

Hm. In pure storytelling I find it pretty mediocre at best. The whole story just comes together because of a string of coincidences (the raiders just now took over the vault, and just now there was need for a breeder for Lucy, and it just so happens that the Enclave dude fled with research and...

The first Season of the Fallout tv show is out

I think the main one Bethesda used as a basis was "Radioactive Dreams". /edit: George Miller said so, but beyond the tribal kids retelling that there was a nuclear war, nothing is explicit.
