@TheKingofVault14 Hahaha ah man. Yeah I know, I'm just debating what version Godzilla would fit in the fallout universe. Knowing the setting, Maybe Showa or early Heisei era

Correction: If 1st Recon were a Medieval battle unit. They would be Slingers not archers. Taking out key targets on a ridge from afar.

Here's one- Cyberpunk 2077's story was actually awesome and weirdly correlates with how a lot of people live their lives. It goes hand in hand with tgat saying of -"If you found out you were gonna die next week. Where would you go from there? lay down and wait for the reaper? Or get that bucket...

Well Mutually Assured Destruction alone is enough to keep most in line. I only say we'll rot, and quietly fall into obscurity because of the environment we live in points that direction. Which imo is worse than dying with the big red nuclear button. At least the latter is the fatest way to go...

Me and my friend had a debate before a dnd session about apocalyptic scenarios to overtake us and set us back hundreds of years. i told him along the lines of we're too big and industrialized as a civilization to properly wipe out. But the likely case would be us being killed by our own...

Obsidian repeatedly declined by Bethesda to do more spinoffs for their games

I was more shocked to find out that Todd Howard has very little creative control in the process of a lot of the Fallout games. Basically he seems more like a goofier version of President Richardson if he ran a game company and not the Post War U.S. government. If anything it almost sounds like...

Obsidian repeatedly declined by Bethesda to do more spinoffs for their games

I'm more glad that New Vegas was a spit in the face for Bethesda because other people did Fallout better than they did and people knows it was more respectful to Fallout's lore. So Pete Hines was behind a lot of the bad decisions at Bethesda? Glad he's gone then, maybe the company could recover...

@eissa Yeah, if it isn't the Legion then it'll be the upset locals not too happy with NCR occupation. The NCR really came into the Mojave with their shoes half tied and didn't expect to fall over. Luckily a lot of mod content on nexus can add some stuff into the game to signify that.

@eissa So the the NCR 1st recon battalion would the be the equivalent of Skirmisher/Ambush Archers? Taking High Ground is always perfect for ambushes and I think 1st Recon did something akin to that during the battle for Hoover Dam

Dude that would be a great idea. Pretty much the Mojave is to NCR as Vietnam was to the States and Afghanistan was to the USSR. Funny enough most engagements in Afghanistan were upwards 400-600m. Crazy what freedom fighters with 100 year old bolt action rifles can do

That I can see. And thinking about it- Archery was a more dumbed down primitive form of artillery. Usually skirmishers (armed with bows or slings) ran up the front of the flank to harass the enemy and pick off infantry to cut numbers so the heavies can break the line.
