Which still doesn't quite justify the weakass Chinese pistol and .32 pistol. As I recall, commonly some of the first enemies I met were supermutants with hunting rifles and even the occasional minigun toting Brute (Minigun also nerfed to shit...For some reason?).

But weirdly enough few ever actually use the chinese pistol/.32. In fact right out of the vault its not uncommon to see hunting rifles, 10mm pistols and even the occasional AR. Ironically this makes the weapons even less useful as you can rarely, if ever, repair them.

 Then for some reason in their games, .44 magnums do almost as much damage as .308. Anyone who knows abouts guns knows that a .44 will kill you dead, but .308 is something else entirely.

While the hunting rifle firing identical ammo had a dozen times more damage! Truly Bethesda has no clue how to make balanced guns, who'd ever use the .32 pistol!?

An annoying thing with the Chinese pistol though, is that it did absolutely zero damage. Despite firing an overpowered 10mm Auto round that'd explode someone's head, it did barely more damage than a BB gun...For some reason. Bethesda needs to seriously realize that 99% of the damage from a...

People were arguing the creation club wasn't paid mods/DLC? Lol... I mean the fucking thing was mostly armor sets (both lore and non-lore friendly), and guns (also...Lore and non-lore friendly) Don't you want your Doom(tm) BFG(tm)-9000(tm) gun in Fallout!?

Of course FO4 is not immersive ("Oh my vault dweller magically obtained several new vault pieces he can build, despite not being able to the day before! I wonder what changed..."), but at least it had no purely cosmetic items for the protagonist. Armor was armor, clothing was clothing, etc...

Wait so they included cosmetic-only items? Isn't that entirely immersion breaking and should otherwise be avoided in an IMMERSIVE MMORPG? Imagine if in FO1-2 you could get a 'deathclaw suit' for 50 IRL bucks lol.

Ahh, so that's wuts this. Edit: Like most of the time, furries ruin everything!

Their rate of mutation/evolution is indeed pretty outlandish by our standards, but then again it's a game based on the 90's perspective of the 50's perspective of the future after a nuclear war. Does FEV 'really' have to be so common, when 1's plot was that it was alllllll in one place? Maybe...

The ghost farm guys! I mean they were sealed underground, so their 'mutations' are a result of natural evolution, pale skin, vulnerable eyesight to light, etc.

IIRC point lookout mutants was inbreeding and radiation (doesn't explain why they're as tough as supermutant overlords but I digress). Scrags...What are those again?

Things you like from Fallout 3

The nukes DID kill most people though, and whoever mutated significantly from the radiation became ghouls, who cannot even run, yet alone act as reinforcements. The wildlife seemed to like the radiation a lot, although even then it probably killed 99% of them, only the survivors are what we see...

Why do people think Fallout 3 was actually good?

The fact that they don't have an override code of some sort (cos, ya know...They're the government and evul and stuff) is weirder. Or the fact that they didn't just blast the door down, a bunch of mutants managed to accomplish that in FO1.

You can write a way almost anything, or literally anything if you include literal retcons. Doesn't make it make any more sense the way it is though. ;v I kinda miss the naive simplicity of OG fallouts.

Viruses aren't everywhere, most need 'something' to hang onto, like water droplets and such, surfaces, etc. And they die without a living host, Viruses are effectively non-living parasites. And if it was so abundant, wouldn't everyone be growing extra heads and shit? The stuff turns normal...

Why do people think Fallout 3 was actually good?

THAT makes sense, I sure as hell don't recall Enclave stuff showing up so early. The Enclave would have the codes to open 101 anyways.

Wait, the Enclave is going to break into the vault?...How come they sure as hell haven't by the time you get access back into the vault?
