Why do people think Fallout 3 was actually good?

There's some differences with it though, firstly you have to prove yourself worthy of saving the tribe. In FO3 they just asspull a "Overseer is a literal psycho" plot point. Saving your tribe, who consists of dozens of people and logically your character must like at least one of them, is a...

Things you like from Fallout 3

I never liked the "FEV is everywhere" plot, it seemed to me that it was made up to cover the original plot of Fallout, in which it follows the 50's trope of "radiation does everything". Radiation being magic is retarded, but not as retarded as "Magic virus that is somehow everywhere, is magic".

Why do people think Fallout 3 was actually good?

You pretty much nailed it, it was for the new generation of console kiddies who wanted shoot shoot action with radiation and mutants and hookers. Gotta love how both Fallout 3 AND 4 have the same retarded "Do X for family member", when the first two games were about helping your community...By...

I like the Intelligent deathclaws, and I personally would like for them to return!

Yeah just saying I understand why people dislike the talking deathclaws, it'd be like having Doom 3 with a tag-along friendly talking cacodemon, yeah sure it's possible, but its also highly retarded. Alas I kinda love the guys, there's some reasoning why Enclave would try to buff their...

If you had to become a mutant, what type would you be?

Supermutants/nightkin are big fuckers who probably need to eat a comical amount of food, and wouldn't fit through anything designed for humans. Being a "Master" would confine me to a chair and probably scare away the ladies more than they already are scared away... Being a Ghoul means my dick...

How do you feel about mutants?

Not sure if I've brought it up before, but non-super mutants are truly under-represented in Fallout. Harold and...Some one other guy in FO1 are strange mutated creatures which AREN'T ghouls or supermutants. It would have been nice to have strange skinned...'people'...having to live in the post...

How did you guys feel about the IRL weapons of Fallout 2?

The OG game had the Mauser 9mm, so its not as if the sequel's weapons are outliers, as the sequel also added fictional weapons. The universe splits around the 50's, but only really with electronics, firearms are just mechanical devices with a bit of chemicals on top, having, say, an exact...

Things we learned from Fallout 4

Annoyingly EVERY character was bisexual, even when it makes little sense. Yeah sure the 'basically tech-nazis' Danse is totally gay...Sure.

Things we learned from Fallout 4

Fuckin lel. I always hated this mechanic in games, where insignificant things can infinitely stack up to the 'end tier' rewards. "You think ladies want dates, gifts, romance, maybe a little lewding up? Hell no, just do drugs in the front of them 100 times and they'll be wet as hell! Maybe pick...

    Are Gen 3 Synths People?

They aren't robots though, they're purely organic with all the motivations of a person. ;v

    Project Van Buren

Ahh, good to know. I wish you the best of luck.

Do you guys think the Humans in Fallout’s world have actually mutated or no?

Humans in Fallout-verse are of course mutated/different than today's humans, but then again natural evolution would make that occur over 100's of years anyways. The changes humanity have obtained seem mostly limited to radiation resistance and overall toughness (Burned Man).

Highest Amount of Damage Ever Inflicted

The wonders of Fallout 1 and 2's engine, is that if the first hit on a burst is a critical, ALL OF THE OTHER ROUNDS ARE TOO! Considering some weapons fire like 40 times in a single turn, that's 40 critical hits, jesus.

Things you like from Fallout 3

Perhaps most annoyingly of course, was the 'legendary' system. Nothing like getting a 'wounding' pipe pistol, that when given fully automatic fire and a drum magazine, out-DPS's any vanilla weapon.

    Project Van Buren

Considering the project was started in 2018, doesn't that give an estimated release date of... 2060 or so?

    Are Gen 3 Synths People?

Gen3 Synths are a weird bunch. Purely organic other than a control chip in their brain (in theory it can be exempt in their creation). So flesh, blood, digestive system, reproductive system (unknown if it actually works though). So they have DNA, mitosis and that sort. But...They also don't...

Things you like from Fallout 3

Of course, Fallout 4's weapons typically end up as "Just go for the fucking rifle variant with the highest DPS parts, maybe a scope if you're into that thing", meaning that while they 'intended' a 'weapon' to be like 3-4 different things, it always ended up being 1 thing, 'maybe' 2 on a good...

Things you like from Fallout 3

Mirelurks were an original idea, with a unique appearance as far as I can tell (of course the 'kings' were a Black Lagoon reference). Med-X was an item that made logical sense, being a renamed "Morphine", and fit the Fallout verse in both comical usage and naming conventions. (Med-X, Mentats...
