It's an interesting idea for a "prequel" mod; following the few people who got sent out or left the vault earlier for whatever reason. Kind of a nice twist too, since they all failed and you know that ahead of time. Kind of fits the theme of Fallout as well, since even if you win you lose.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to insult people who like the game - it's just that the game is a mystery to me and I'm trying to figure out if it's something I would enjoy or if I should just avoid it.

Diablo II is still huge after all these years. I try to read threads on it, and they are so jargon filled that I can't follow what's going on. I've looked through gamefaqs, and found dozens of character set-up guides, item guides, but still no real explanation for why the game is still so huge...
