    Cabot House (SPOILERS)

" Necropolis, also known as the City of the Dead, is a ghoul city upon the remains of Bakersfield, located in southern California. This Greek word meaning "city of the dead" refers to this strangely silent ghost town. Most of the buildings are intact, but travelers report that no one seems to...

    Anybody else hate the music?

I think the music is passable, personally I can't wait until the custom radio station mods come out. Get some ac/dc, Metallica, def leppard, queen, other rock and miscellaneous music coming out of the pip boy. I know it doesn't fit the theme, but there is nothing like shedding raiders while Mr...

How would you have done it?

    1) No supermutants, the synths are good new enemies, we don't need orcs. 2) If you want to take inspiration from mass effect, for the love of god give the player character better focus and realistic emotion. It seems like they are hardly affected by the recent events of their life, by the...

[POLL] Is Fallout 4 better than Fallout 3?

Yes, if only because they took all the good ideas to improve the game play from popular fallout 3 and New Vegas mods.

    Bethesda's Lore Recons

Ohhhhhhh I never realized that was the end of the bridge, that said perhaps only that area of road bed was messed up. The cable supports we see look in good shape.

    Bethesda's Lore Recons

I don't remember the bridge being seen in fallout 2.

Why is Boston unhurt by the atomic bombs?

The city in fallout 1's intro and bakersfield (they maybe the same place) are just as intact as Bethesda's cities.

Why is Boston unhurt by the atomic bombs?

I like the idea that the dutch ghost wrote in an other thread, that house being a graduate of MIT, installed a similar missile shield at his alma mater. The question is why didn't Bethesda create a log on a computer terminal some where stating that? Would that be that hard?

So, can we talk about what Fallout 4 does well?

I like the fact that there are many more unique building interiors then in fallout 3. Which makes the world feel much more organic and real compared to DC. Also having Boston be wide open on the same cell as the wasteland is a massive improvement as well. It's worth noting the old quote...

Main Questline: Better or worse than Fallout 3's?

Yeah, I saw that coming a mile away the Sole Survivor was refrozen, it's really stupid that they themselves didn't think of the possibility.

    Bethesda's Lore Recons

Either way that vault's survivors would be really inbred by the time the vault opened.

    The Car [Mod idea discussion]

I wonder, since there is now an animation of the player getting into power armour, I wonder that bit of code could be reused to show the player getting into a car. That was one thing XRE cars was lacking.

The dev team thinks of everything

Couldn't they apply filters to the voices to make it seem like there are more, they already did that with NPCs in fallout 3. Ghouls and children were the same voice recordings as normal humans.

    Bethesda's Lore Recons

Spoiler: there is a ghoul that tried to do that with his family members after they all became ghouls at the start of the war. He kept his mind while his family members became feral. He tried to get them to show some humanity and it didn't work. But he wasn't trying anything scientific.

    The Car [Mod idea discussion]

I wonder if that 3d model of the highwayman is still floating around on the net, I remember that it was made by a fan who posted that rendering on his website. But if I recall that site had not been updated for a very long time, and that was in 2013.

Wasteland 2 Update #38: Wasteland 1 available for backers

They really had too, because most of the story originally was in a separate book. I would guess a lot of the work they did was to integrate that text into the actual game.

If House hadn't gone into a coma...

House and Enclave is interesting question; there is no way the Enclave of fallout 2 would work with house. But the Enclave of say 2081... well that is a different question. I'm sure many of them may have have known House personally.

    NO Trees

Hell the buildings across the street are perfectly fine. Someone could have smuggled a suit case bomb in some how. That's the thing about the game sure it looks cool, but the moment you start to look to closely you have to go through mental gymnastics to make sense of anything. A good writer...

If House hadn't gone into a coma...

After playing in Vegas recently, I starting thinking about what house said about the day of the great war and his current plains. So after he shot down the missiles his system crashed and he feel into a coma, Vegas survived the war but must have readily fallen into anarchy in the weeks and years...
