I think timers are good, and bad, depending on one's preferences. Nothing stopping a timer from being an option in the menus, it genuinely adds tension and a feel of consequence with time wasting.

;( I find NV harder than Fallout 1-2, FPS is hard to balance. With some of the harder mods, god damn you can die quickly, game has no damage resistance inherent to armour. ;(

Going to be honest, playing Fallout 1-2, I don't do perfect runs, whereas in HR I did. I feel as though modern games are sufficiently boring that getting anything but 'everything' feels lacking.
