Fallout: New Vegas Gamer's Guide to Life Q&A

So, is this something I can stream online or is it only on TV and then put up on websites later?

    Fallout: New Vegas miscellaneous round-up

I also bombed the place that I ordered from, just to be sure.

    Post-apoc games with a "serious"setting and tone?

Like others have said, Metro 2033 could've been a bit better in the gameplay department. Or rather, even as linear games go... It still manages to feel overtly linear at times. But as far as post-apoc games go, the game is a real winner in the atmosphere department. Can't say it made me...

    Weird/Stupid fears on gaming?

Ecco the Dolphin used to make me so goddamn uncomfortable. I loved the segments where you could be happy with your dolphin buddies and jump around near the ocean surface. Much better than going down into the depths. Shadow of the Colossus kinda hit upon that fear of the watery depths thing...

    The Science of Fallout

Fun idea but extremely lame. It just doesn't go nearly in-depth enough to be interesting in any way whatsoever and like BN says, there is no real connection to Fallout here aside from "lol mutants".

Fallout: New Vegas Eurogamer Expo round-up

Think the intro as a whole, showing off Vegas, the whole scene with you being shot plus Perlman's speech feels a bit long to be honest. Might just be my imagination. The character creation bit looks pretty good. Doc Mitchell has really nice voiceacting from what I can hear.

Fallout: New Vegas Eurogamer Expo round-up

These previews are pretty terrible. Oh god... I look forward to playing the game a lot but... I don't look forward to seeing all the crappy reviews. Following the Fallout 3 reviews was downright traumatic. Maybe I'll have the willpower to not look at them this time around.

Fallout: New Vegas Eurogamer Expo offscreen footage

I'm not sure but I think the fridge might be that Wild Wasteland "random encounter" where you find a fridge with Indy's hat and whip in them.

Fallout New Vegas Developer Diary #3 - Art Direction

I'm sorta on the fence myself. I think I'll wait to see just how much of an explanation there is in the game for how Vegas is functioning. Hopefully they have developed a history/timeline that will justify its existence such as it is. I'm perfectly willing to forgive a few things (omg teh...

Fallout: New Vegas interview and gameplay footage

While I have no idea what the guy was doing at that farm, it was pretty nice to have a video where they didn't zoom past everything at the speed of light or just show combat. I kinda wonder if that farm place is the tutorial quest where you must kill geckos, perhaps he was confused seeing as...

Fallout: New Vegas Developer Diary #2 - Tech/Weapons/Audio

Damnit Chris, don't say these stupid things about grenade machine guns being awesome. Hehe, anways. I like the idea of that energy weapon, sounds like fun. The geckos look good. They seem to be putting a decent effort into the sound design which I think is great. Having good sound effects...

    Planet Fallout interviews Chris Avellone

I don't know where to post this junk, but here's another random quote from Josh Sawyer on repairing stuff (someone noticed a "notch" in the condition bar of the weapons):

It's not directly related or anything but here's some words from JE Sawyer on the Beth forums about plants and stuff in New Vegas:

Fallout: New Vegas Developer Diary #1 - The Story

NMA Player: [Speech] Your New Vegas is way too well-kept and pristine for a post-apocalyptic Fallout game. Mr House: OH GOD NO *explodes*.

    Fallout: New Vegas companions revealed

Was my initial reaction to that as well. A bit silly... But on the other hand, having a drinking buddy in the party has its appeal as well, hehe. The Mutant feels like it could be over the top... But if done well it could also be one of the most interesting companions. But I'm very happy...

    Caravan rules revealed

I love the look of those, awesome. As for the mini-games, I like them when they're mostly optional and they are sorta tied into some real-world feel. Stuff like the hacking and lockpicking bothers me way more because it feels like a cheap obstacle thrown into the player's path, and it gets...

Fallout: New Vegas opening cinematic revealed

I like the panning across New Vegas a lot. I like how the people inside are all drunk and partying but outside the walls, the Legion and Raiders are plotting their schemes. The character models in the burial scene just don't look good though. Actually, my main problem is really the dude on...

    Fallout: New Vegas previews

1 major character plus kids is what I've read also. But yeah, they really shouldn't be bullshitting like that. I mean, I think it's a great step to have only 1 major NPC and kids unkillable, it should do wonders for the freedom of the game. But then they should say that as well. Saying that...

    Fallout: New Vegas previews

I think nightvision has been confirmed somewhere, so yeah. Mostly I think the new footage looks really good. Two things that look a bit wonky are the walking animation and the look on the goon's faces (they look really weird) in the opening cutscene thingie. Other than that, looks great.
