    Fallout: New Vegas gameplay clips

Likes: -The town actually looks really good. -Framerate here is solid. -I like the Iron sight a lot and something about the guns just feels like they have a bit more 'oomph' to them. -Reload animations look pretty nice. Dislikes: -Stupid death physics are not gone unfortunately. -I...

    Mafia 2

I am in agreement with Sander here. I'm not a prude myself and I have no problem with the characters being racist per say as it would be part of the setting. I don't have a problem with that. But they didn't hit a good note with it, it feels extremely... wrong many times. It jumps out at you.

    @GAMER New Vegas article scans

Those mutated fly things (or whatever they were, I remember there being a discussion about them a while back) look disgusting. I really don't look forward to encountering them (hopefully they won't be pushovers like Bloatflies). That spaceship stuff just looks... weird (a theme which seems to...

    Mafia 2

I'm playing the game right now and I think it's so-so. I liked Mafia 1 but found it to be very uneven, and Mafia 2 is like that as well. But I think for such a story-driven game, Mafia 2's story is not... too good... Mafia was hardly a masterpiece in terms of acting and all that but I found...

    Robot sex, achievement, shots

I must shamefully admit that I found the Fisto quotes pretty hilarious. Sorta reminds me of the ballgag you get when losing armwrestling to that Mutant in Broken Hills. But yeah, it's certainly also a case in point that this game will likely take on more of the Fallout 2 style rather than...

    Bethesda Podcast #1

Horn section bit = really shitty. Guessing it will be the main theme. The rest, quite good. Feels pretty different than both F3 and the older games. Most importantly, it feels a bit more eerie or hostile than F3. Pretty nice!

    Fallout: New Vegas faction profiles

Also listened to it. It sounded quite good at first, different than both the older games and Fallout 3. Until the fucking horn section came blaring in. That said, even though they're still using strings here for the soundtrack, it seems to me to fit a bit more with the general atmosphere than...

Mark Morgan's music will be in Fallout: New Vegas

Which matters how exactly? I'm sure they could've composed more original tracks in that time-span. To clarify, I have my worries myself about whether they'll manage to get the music to fit in with the new stuff. I'd also much rather have new versions, though I think re-using some themes and...

Mark Morgan's music will be in Fallout: New Vegas

The game will have new music composed for it as well, much of the old stuff seems like it will be remixed, and Fallout 2 had mostly old music as well but I don't think I've ever seen anyone complain about that nor did it particularly hurt the game. It all depends on how they will end up using it.

Fallout: New Vegas GamesCom Previews #1

I've always been a bit 50/50 on the Hanged Man... On one hand, it *is* an extremely badass concept, and pretty creepy. But I also feel it's a bit of a misfit in the Fallout universe. The way you found him hanged but still living... Also, it really reminded me of Ignus from Planescape...

Mark Morgan's music will be in Fallout: New Vegas

Blaming Inon Zur for the direction of Fallout 3's soundtrack probably isn't fair, I would guess he got directions from Bethesda on what type of music. The music was bland as hell however, which would be Zur's fault. I find it a bit weird to include Morgan's previous music like that but if...

The Vault previews Fallout: New Vegas, #1

Josh also confirmed somewhere (either the Beth forums or somethingawful) that fast travel will have an impact on the Hardcore mode settings. Since time passes, all your dehydration and crap like that goes down. Which means that it might not be in your best interest to fast travel to town when...

MCA and gameplay footage on G4 TV

I think that G4 preview also brought home that New Vegas looks a lot better than F3 visually speaking. The warmer colors and lighting makes it look a lot better overall. I'm still not likely to use the third person mode though, still looks wonky to me. But the ironsights seems to do a good...

Fallout: New Vegas pre-order details for chunks of the world

I'm a weak man and have pre-ordered the Collector's edition. It's the first Collector's Edition game I've ever bought, I feel a bit dirty. On the other hand, it sounds pretty cool.

    Eurogamer interviews Todd Howard

Not really surprising about the level cap either. The Bethesda followers really want games that go on forever, even if decisions lose all meaning. Seeing some of the threads discussing it on their forums for New Vegas, there was a big support for having no level cap, and of course people wanting...

Fallout: New Vegas Con previews, #3

Vulpes sounds kinda intriguing. The Dark Brotherhood quests in Oblivion were good, just lacking options on how to complete them. And it's nice to see that they appear to be creating content for more evil characters as well.

    Fallout: New Vegas opening narration

I don't really like the tribals in Fallout either. But yeah, I can see that people would band together in fairly primitive circumstances, living in small "towns" if it can be called that. But I really thought the whole spiritual side of it felt very out of place in F2, we have Chosen Ones...

Behind the Scenes: The Many Voices of New Vegas

The greatest thing is the apparently large cast. Fuck the celebrities, I just look forward to hopefully not every ghoul sounding the same. What I don't like... Well, I do know that it's Caesar's Legion... But Latin? This group is sounding cheesier by the minute. I wish they had just gone for...

New Vegas Voice Acting and Party Members Revealed

I think the best news in this is that (barring the possibility that these people voice everyone in New Vegas which is probably not the case) we have all these different actors playing specific character. Honestly, I bet this little group is close to the total number of actors in F3 (well, I...
