    Fallout: New Vegas on GTTV

Depending on how "see-saw-y" the reputation mechanics are set up, it could be rather interesting if supporting the NCR will make you a real enemy to the BoS. Especially since I assume the good-ish characters will probably want to lend support more to the NCR than to the Legion, could make...

Pick up some post-apocalyptic shooters for cheap

I'm not really crazy about some of the design approaches to Metro 2033 (the uber linearity for example) but for what it is, it's an *extremely* well-made game. The one thing I was disappointed with were the mutants which I didn't find particularly initimidating. But the atmosphere is just...

    Seeking PS:Torment Advice

PS:T is one of my favorite games. The bit about replayability is right though, there is a fair amount of "sameness" between replays. But even so, I have to say that upon replaying it, I found quite a lot of stuff that I just did not find on my first playthrough (even though I consider myself...

Tim Cain interview on Matt Chat, part 3

I love Arcanum, but that wonderful "tightness" of Fallout 1 sure is nowhere to be found in Arcanum. It's a really messy game but it probably has the best roleplaying I know of in a cRPG. There's a fair amount of stuff they could've cut down a bit though.

PC Zone UK previews Fallout: New Vegas: new hands-on

The quest showcased in the preview sounds pretty good. Was there even a mechanic that could be described as standing in F3? I think it was just "accepted" or "we're gonna kill you now" (which reset after a few days anyways) but maybe I missed something.

    Fallout: New Vegas stuff

I'd recommend skipping the podcast, it's pretty damn boring. The interviewer is a bit of an idiot, the questions are the same old and Larry Liberty seems like a good guy but is a bit boring to listen to. EDIT: It's also a bit depressing to have to listen to Larry trying to defend RPG...

Gamespot's Fallout: New Vegas Demo at E3

If that was directed at my post, I did say that whether it fits thematically or not is a separate discussion. Personally I would've rather had the franchise end long time ago so that maybe there could come a *new* game that could wow me like Fallout 1 originally did. I think both options...

Gamespot's Fallout: New Vegas Demo at E3

I don't think tourism as such is a bad idea for the game. Societies (fairly advanced in some cases) have already started to form in F2, and this is 40 years later afaik. Of course it's a post-apoc wasteland we're dealing with, but I'd think that many people *would* evolve survival skills, figure...

    Fallout: New Vegas E3 previews

Give it a few years Brother None... You'll announce yourself as a gaming journalist whenever you can and will be able to write marvelous previews just like this guy. Pretty amazing though.

    Fallout: New Vegas E3 previews

I think the PR needs to be clearer on just who you can kill or not. I guess they are talking about quest characters and such but they really shouldn't say that you can kill everyone when you can't kill children for example. Be clearer or people will complain about it later on.

G4 TV Fallout: New Vegas demo show

I don't mind the visuals at all, I think it's a pretty refreshing change. Of course, I hope it's mainly contained to the strip itself. For Vegas itself, I just hope they manage to make it feel fleshed out in terms of gameplay content. If they make it so that Vegas is still fairly intact, there...

    World Cup 2010 South Africa

Holy fuck, 80 minutes played and Mexico in the lead against France. 2-0

    Fallout: New Vegas E3 interviews

The Avellone interview is really nice. It's nice that there will be no "big bad" (though I guess there'll still be a final boss in either faction and so forth, but who knows). Sounds good.

    Fallout: New Vegas E3 previews

"Josh Sawyer from Bethesda" :o I liked the video though. What bugged me the most has already been pointed out, the Strip looks A) empty and B) very roomy. I hope they can add more flavor NPCs walking around at least. Though has anything been said on the population count for Vegas? I like...

    World Cup 2010 South Africa

Mmm, she could kick my arse any day of the week! Not that it's gonna happen but it'd be such a mindfuck if N Korea beat Brazil.

Fallout: New Vegas Fan Interview Part 2

This is some of the best news we've gotten on New Vegas. Excellent stuff and a huge refresher from the boring trailer.

Fallout: New Vegas Trailer in HD, screenshots

I think the lighting looks pretty good, I find that to be a really pleasant de-tour from F3. And I'm sorta with Briosafreak on this. Characters don't look great, just as in F3, but I find the environments to be quite good. It may not be up to ye graphical heavyweights of today, but really...

    Fallout: New Vegas E3 Trailer

I'd just like to chime in and say that I'm very happy that Brother None brought back that signature of his. Now... Never change it again.

    Fallout: New Vegas E3 Trailer

I think Caesar's Legion is alright in the sense that it's set up after the Roman empire in terms of its hierarchies and all that. But I really wish they didn't copy the actual look of Roman soldiers. I think that era in history is very interesting but it just clashes so bad with the style of...
