Turn off the Physx to eliminate lag. Demo runs at steady 60 FPS for me, everything maxed (except AA which doesn't add shit) with physx off on my Core 2 Duo e8400 and GTS250. Physx on "medium" and it drops to 20-30. PhysX effects are nice, but they require way too much calculations.

I don't know, RE4, RE5 and Dead Space are "console shooters" too and I quite liked those, especially RE4. Console FPS games do tend to suck though.

I prefer .223 pistol, because getting ammo for Gauss can be somewhat of a bother. Once you get sniper perk, .223 is all you need to kick ass anyway.

I think you should still play SC: Chaos Theory at least. It's fun playing it without killing, although you can stealth-murder all you want if you choose so, except maybe in few instances. Conviction has nothing on this game.

That's pretty much common knowledge. Only first three games are really worth playing. You can have some fun with 4 and 5 but they don't live up in any way. Conviction isn't even a stealth game anymore, it's a third person shooter. You can't even hide bodies.

Also look at how annoying Harbinger is. Him repeating those inane lines was a big part of frustration while fighting collectors for me. Whoever it was that came up with the idea of video game enemies shouting stupid shit at you as much as shooting at you, it needs to stop.

Only CPU matters in Morrowind. I remember upgrading my GPU from Geforce 4 Ti4200 to 7600GT and Morrowind ran exactly as shitty as before, at 30 FPS max. It's only when I bought whole new PC that I could get a steady 60 FPS in that game.
