General Gaming Megathread: What are you playing?

Speaking of scary games, System Shock 2 is scary as hell. I've stopped near the end of the fourth level and can't go on. Just... can't. Too much tension for my nerves to handle at once. Also, I finally forced myself to start playing Wasteland for the first time. I think I'm hooked.

    Summer reading

Finished Christkind by Boris Dezulovic, one of the best Croatian writers and journalists of the younger generation, as far as I'm concerned. Right now I'm reading Strugatsky brothers' Roadside Picnic and after that I'll throw myself on Huxley's Brave New World.

    Asked to leave freaks outside????

She usually tells you that if you have Goris, Marcus, Lenny, Brainbot or any of the four dogs in your party - anyone who's not human, that is. Make sure that Cassidy, Vic and Sulik are your only party members. Although, it's pretty weird that she still won't talk to you.

    Fallout 3 on XBox live

I wonder if they will charge for a Power Armor hardening process. Hardened Power Armor? No prob. That'll be $4,99. Anything else? A steel dildo? Sure thing. That's on the house. *wink*

    Edge Top 100

Gawd, this is retarded. Manhunt? Outrun 2006? Halo? What the fuck? They did list some good games - Darwinia, SS2, Deus Ex, StarCraft - but it's mostly a bunch of console twitch-games. Sheesh.

Darwinia - one of the better games I've played. It's quite slow-paced and requires lots of thinking through before taking actions. A great stress-reliever. Well, in most cases.

Pretty weird (in a good way) and goes along great with the other forum template I'm using. 9/10

    All About Arcanum

It won't start at all? Happened to me when I tried using a bootleg. I applied the no-cd patch (which is official, by the way), but I got thrown to the desktop in the loading screen. Point of the story - get the original copy and it should work like a charm.

    Gamespot's Fallout 3 Preview

"It won't be Fallout as we may know it, but it will be a Fallout game nevertheless" - what do they take us for? I like Fallout as we know it now, there's no need to fix something that isn't broken.

    IGN's Fallout 3 Preview

Oh boy, this keeps getting better and better. Healing fountains? Personal nuke launcher? Guessing passwords? Speaking of FPS/RPGs, System Shock 2 had a nicely implemented hacking system, but this is just... Ugh.

Looks pretty nice. Where'd you get it from? 8/10 By the way, am I the only one using that other graphics template for the forum instead of the regular black one?

    S.T.A.L.K.E.R, Shadow of Chernobyl

You can join certain factions, but you have to be careful not to perform quests for the opposite one(s) when you join one of them (e.g. Duty - Freedom). I'm not sure on what different endings depend, but I suppose it could be the amount of cash you have, what faction you belong to etc. Stalker...

Nicely made as always, but I liked the previous one better - 7.5/10

Warcraft 3 or "I can't believe there isn't an old threa

I concur. Starcraft is way more fun and has a more dynamic gameplay. Also, the supply limit of 90 always drove me nuts.

    Headphone interference/weird noises

Maybe there's a tad more of us than average, but it most probably seems that way because Ratty holds a pretty high position here. Too bad he's gone inactive, though.

Believe it or not, my bass amp picks up a Slovenian radio station when it's turned up all the way.
