@ Feel The Rads. Think you picked on the wrong guy there. A 15 year old lad is generally not going to have the same game tastes as you. No need to belittle him. Its quite likely that he will be on a forum in 20 years time trying to convince people of the enduring fun to be had in Fallout 3...

PC Action Germany reviews Fallout 3

Jesus, could you be anymore condescending to the 'kids''? Why so cynical? Whats the problem with liking the games produced by one company? We all have favourite things so lets not make out that those who like Bethesdas products are all pandering fan boys.

    CanardPC's almost-review

Agree. As I posted earlier, this preview is as worthless as the OXM review for getting a worthwhile description of the game. Negative slobber or positive slobber - either way its a gooey mess to avoid if you want a balanced view. Just because an article is well written in terms of language...

    CanardPC's almost-review

Well yes, I agree. Im sure there will be many reviews that will be written in such a way that see no fault with the game in the slightest if the reviewer has already decided its his game of the year (OXM guilty of this I am sure). I hope when the real reviews come out that there are a couple...

    CanardPC's almost-review

The preview is quite depressing. More so than it should be I feel. Almost as if he has a pre-meditated plan to deride the game. Now, it may just be the that the game is bad in every way possible as many believe that it is, but it didnt really seem like a proper journalistic piece. More of a...

    MTV Multiplayer previews Fallout 3

Well I suppose if the game is supposedly being played by the dribbling fools that are console owners (of which I am one) then it fits in with BS policy of showing the half wits where the main places are. As for the xp........poss because the major locations are main quest orientated or at the...

Yeah it would be nice if that were always the case, but as you well know there are people (on both sides of the fence) who will not acknowledge any information from someone with differing views.

I dont think you are being led by the hand by finding a large landmark. Landmarks generally can be seen from miles around.

No its nothing like it. But if so, what would you call the blinkered hate of a game regardless of what is know about it good or bad?

    MTV Multiplayer previews Fallout 3

The incentive to explore should simply be to find what is there. Any bonuses should really be material, unless you're searching for quest-related locations. _________________ I agree. Again though, are you quite sure how many of these locations are actually marked on your compass. Ill let...

    MTV Multiplayer previews Fallout 3

Are baseball fields usually where basketball hoops are located? I dont know, Im english so we dont have any. Regardless, I think the discovery of a whole baseball field\complex is a little different to just finding a hoop yes? If the field is quest specific, there may well be some XP involved.

    MTV Multiplayer previews Fallout 3

Can you not argue intelligently without bringing something to an extreme? Do you really honestly think you will get xp for finding an old basketball hoop? If you do,I will be the first in line to pat you on the back and congratulate you on your incredible knowledge. You dont have to explore...

But I still don't count out there being some redeeming qualities in the storyline...... Somewhere in there I see the glimmer of there being something you like. Could be wrong of course. I mean if you like only 1 part of it, then I will probably love lots of it!

And if there are some redeeming qualities in the storyline then it will be quite enjoyable for you. What?! You want more? Now thats just being greedy.......

    MTV Multiplayer previews Fallout 3

An obvious point that leads back to what? That every element in the previous games must be present and correct in exactly the same form in the new one. This is old, and it aint going to happen for better or for worse. As for the comment ' The only way you could honestly think they're the same...

    MTV Multiplayer previews Fallout 3

True. However the area involved in FO3 is on a much smaller scale so maybe its relative. I don't know I havent made my mind up on this one yet. It would be nice to think that there are some places that dont show up at all. I think putting ever hut/shack/cave on the compass would be a little...

First Review Drops : French Magazine PC Jeux

So you ahve no problem being regarded as a 'FO3' hater? If this is the case it will be very difficult for others to have discussions with you with regards to the game as your opinions are biased to the point of blindness. An intelligent man would be open to looking at something from many...

    MTV Multiplayer previews Fallout 3

In Oblivion, POI only appeared on your compass once you were near them. Assuming they use the same system I don't see how this differs from the green circles appearing in FO1 or 2. I would think it unlikely that every POI would be highlighted on your compass from the outset of the game. It...

First Review Drops : French Magazine PC Jeux

I suppose you dont have to care, but would you not prefer to enjoy Fallout 3 rather than not? Would you prefer to play it and actually enjoy parts of it? Sure there is lots missing that made the first games enjoyable to you but just because it is not in exactly the same mold does not mean that...

Ausir: Do we look like we care if Fallout 3 appeals to the widest possible audience? We want it to appeal to us, the people who loved the previous iterations, first and foremost. Here lies the problem. People who played the first fallout games who are now up in arms about the coming sequel...
