    World Cup

    Brasil. Jogo Bonito and all that noise. I expect the US to at least get to the quarterfinals. Just like last time. We are making up ground on the rest of the world. World Cup finalists in 2010.

    Fallout 3 will, y'know, like...not be at E3

    I can dig it. Good post.

    The sad thing about all this trolling is not that they are stupid or clueless, per se. They just don't care as much as we do about quality. They see what makes Fallout so great, and understand the reasons for it. They would not be here if they didn't recognize Fallout's greatness. What they...

    Fallout 3 will, y'know, like...not be at E3

    It is much much easier to take the passive approach, hoping that things turn out okay; watching things unfold; accepting all the results as they are. I understand the mentality. It strives to be "hands-off" to relieve the pressure from the developers to allow them to create the best possible...

    Fallout 3 mentioned by Pete Hines

    I have to check out this Gothic title you speak of. The Progress you mention refers to graphics progress, because real time and first person were around long before Fallout. The others covered it quite well.

    Progress is NOT always a good thing. That is an idiotic thing to say. The rest of the stuff you said, fine, whatever, it's your opinion. I disagree with most of it, but it's still your opinion. But the Progress in the Graphics Industry, IMHO is not a good thing. Concentration on supergraphics...

    Don't take a PR person too much at face value. There is a reason he/she is not working on the real game. ::ingests grain of salt::

    To Dare Oblivion

    I'm still running on a five year old laptop - that was barely able to run Fallout 1-2 and Tactics. I hope this thing lasts until Fallout 3 arrives, and upgrading FINALLY becomes a must-do. 3-D here I come! Chug, chug, chug...

    Use an electronic lockpick in the BOS. It takes something like 3 AP. You can use it during combat.

    Daemon Spawn casts his vote for France. Sadly, I'm not able to watch any of these games, cause the American networks are pieces of crap, and refuse to show any games. And for some reason, my university doesn't feel like broadcasting the Spanish speaking networks. Sucks.

    You might need to tweak your virtual memory settings, or set them so that windows auto sets your virtual memory.

    Tactics = not liking me

    Nevermind, I fixed the problem. I just tweaked the virtual memory settings so that the system determined the page file size. Wow, look at this, the entire evolution of a problem, from citation to tinkering to solution, all in three posts. Heh.
