Wasteland 2 drive in the final 24 hours

IIRC, it wasn't on release, but resources would be dedicated to have one developed (or simply cleaned up for general use) after the game was finished.

Wasteland 2 Interview with Chris Avellone and Brian Fargo

Someone better tell MCA that there were clown gangs (IIRC) in Fountain of Dreams.

    Wasteland 2 Update #11

Guardians of the Citadel (from Wasteland 1) - that is what I am thinking that meant

    No Mutants Allowed front-page redesign

Nice :) Wish I could say more, but the design is clean. I wonder if the identity NMA had in the old design is lost here? Kinda miss Marcus at the top, however.

    Wasteland Survival Guide Book

Came with like a 300-400 page manual, with manuals for ALL 10 games. Had a "newspaper" of the Tonetown Times (came with Tass Times in Tonetown). And a jewel case with a CD of all 10 games that it games with (which unfortunately, it appears the wrong CD is in there... my CD is missing D: )

    [POLL] Have you played Wasteland!?

Just finished a run through last week... ran the reset program and dumped all of my items for a second play-through. Not sure how to get rid of all my cash like on the C-64 game reset, I think I will make a dummy char in ranger center, give them all the money, then delete the char.

    Wasteland 2 Kickstarter Update #7

I'm also curious on how portable Onyx is? Is it a Direct X only technology? If so, how is that going to work for Mac/Linux, unless the base level graphics API access is abstracted so it can be swapped out with other APIs (like OpenGL, for example).

    Wasteland 2 Kickstarter Update #7

If inXile is going to use an engine that Obsidian has, I hope it can be used to make something that works on not-the-latest-and-greatest-PC-hardware.

    Ripten Wasteland 2 Interview

May not HAVE to be long term, if there is enough profit on this game after release (say just a couple million), they could continue on this type fringe development for a long time without having to go back to kickstarter for more funding (at least not for every project).

    W2 graphics

Also, who knows if those *specific* engines are even available or even ready for prime time. AFAIK, those were in-house engines. I hope the find an existing one that has at least some level of support and documentation that is useful for WL2 development (I hope that 6 months of planning...

The Troika test engine looks nice, but still, how much modeling will have to be done to make that 3d world look nice?

Which version is best? EGA DOS vs C64 vs Apple ][ ?

The look of the C64 version is total nostalgia, as I originally played in on the C64. The PC version just runs better, however.

Fallout: New Vegas patch coming out very soon

PS3 players: does it crash more for you? Is using an existing save that was pre-patch a bad idea? I had to quit playing a couple nights ago (post-patch) as it locked up on me about 3 times in 90 minutes. That is a lot even for Gamebryo Fallout from my experience.

Fallout: New Vegas patch coming out very soon

PS3 update was available this evening. Does balance out a few things and adds some nice UI touches. However, it seems to lock up EVEN MORE now :(

New Vegas is way too complex

Seriously? Not know how to change active quests? I can understand if this person did not play Fallout 3... as that feature works exactly the SAME WAY. Of course, the REST of us figured it out when Fallout 3 came out (maybe Oblivion too... I think you can do that in that game too, right...
