What games of today seem to have Fallout influences?

Wasteland? That is a really old game... once you get past the basic UI, it's a pretty open-ended game for an 80's RPG :)

The sniper rifles are so powerful it makes me cry.

No so much a penalty at short range, but a worse penalty for moving and/or not crouching when firing. I imagine they are very unwieldy when not in a still position, focused on being aimed.

    Any games like Fallout?

I dunno about you, but when I played MH:RR, I almost doused my computer and set it aflame after about half way through this game. It is horrible.... so horrible *weeps* Looks cool... that's about it.

The sniper rifles are so powerful it makes me cry.

Once you had that perk, it was a win button, practically every shot is always a critical. Luckily, it wasn't available until high levels.

    Are shotguns utterly worthless?

Are the crit chances for each pellet in buckshot rounds calculated separately?

    2241 - 2281 : The Choosen One

He could be just a mid-level politician for the NCR at Arroyo now. Drinking away his days and night, hoping for the monotony to end.

Wild Wasteland: is it Wild or merely a Waste?

Useless, as in, a totally un-Fallout, really silly and very stupid encounter the doesn't enhance the game except to go "lulz". I hate that encounter so hard.

Hi....A few questions and musings on FNV.

So that is what the icon on my console "hot keys" is for "up" that I cannot change? Does that cycle through the different ammo you have?

    Level Cap - To easy?

Fallout 1 doesn't have that many explorable locations. Besides the neat random encounters, the only places to really go are Vault 13, Vault 15, Shady Sands, Junktown, The Glow, The Hub, LA, Necropolis, The Military Base, The Khan's camp, the Lost Hills Bunker and the Cathedral - basically just...

Hi....A few questions and musings on FNV.

1 & 2 - it has effects, but doesn't ruin the game at all (as I did just that in my first playthrough) 3 - Go to the ammo tab in the pip-boy, the non-disabled options are the ammo you can use for your currently equipped weapon. You have to go back here every time you change weapons, IIRC (not...

    Khan quest bug?

Are the Legion attacking on-sight now? If not, you can walk in Caesar's tent and just take the book you need to show Regis. If they are hostile, well, you have a nice fight ahead of you. :)

    Is Charisma needed?

Supposedly, a high CH will help your followers perform better in combat (Nerves), not sure how much it does affect their ability in combat as I have had only one play through (finished today).

Nellis Air Force Base (may contain Spoilers)

I did that to some degree and got through the first time. Once you get near the fence, of course, it all stops.

Wild Wasteland: is it Wild or merely a Waste?

Yeah "That Gun" is normally in the game. I found relatively early in my first play through. it was a good initial pistol weapon to keep around, until it starts wearing out.

Has anyone else killed Caesar yet? With their own gun?

I killed him in a more direct fashion. I had the mark from the strip, but went to finish the quest where you save a few captives from Nipton. I ended up sniping the Legion soldiers there before freeing everyone. By the time I got to the river, they all hated me... so back on the mountain with...

    Trouble on the Homefront

Well, Mack is arguably more over-zealous than Amata's father could ever be - a brown-noser who was given power. Amata's father could, at least, be reasoned with in this quest.

Point Lookout press release, screenshots, trailer

Virgina, West Virginia and western Maryland (all surrounding DC - or within a couple hours) certainly is mostly mountains, woods and huntin'. Go east of DC, while more populated, you get marshlands and coastal places - more hunting and a lot of fishing. The only really direct super-populated...
