There are some annoying murmurs around the 2K forum about Mafia 2 not having any real gearchanging, wich'll be of great annoyance to me, I quite like those lil' details and it can't be that much work to have them ingame and letting people that want automatic gearboxes use an automatic setting.

Sadly I think you are correct on that, but there's nothin' bad about hoping and pleading. I've done a whole bunch of new changes to the .ini files now, going to see if it'll do any good.

I thought I read somewhere in their forums that they were going to have two different modes for driving? I.e. Arcade or "More realistic". Atleast I hope they do so, I really would'nt appreciate the driving portions of the game with GTA style arcade driving. And on another note, I do hope...

Had the same problem on my first playthrough, I used up alot of explosives and planned an "escape route" for when he charged me where I placed the explosives and then led him through those spots. That and plentiful of use with sprint.

I can't speak for the others, but I like the story, gameplay and atmosphere of the game. What do you mean by awkward controls though? Never had any problems myself, but I did have a steering wheel if it's the cars that bothers you.

Bought a new computer for this game and Alpha Protocol (Basically) so Pc-version it is for me. Going to have to dig around for more info before I settle for a definite buy though.

Indeed, I really like this game and really hope for a sequel. I mostly based my own decision to buy the game from a PC Gamer review (81%, Rich McCormick I think it was, don't know his nationality though). I will not deny that the game has it's rough edges, but that can be patched out I reckon...

Same here, also quite interested in the game, played the first game to bits, and I still play it from time to time - it's quite enjoyable. I've been watching some dev-vids now and again, and I think it looks pretty promising, but I'm going to try and dedicate some more time to swoosh around...

I'm inclined to agree, though I really would like to see them work on the animations. F3's animations are... really bad and can easilly pull, atleast me, out of any kind of immersion.
