His and Her College Writing Theme Paper

Yes, it is fake and not particularly well conceived. I guess it wouldn't survive if it was more subtle. The dimmest bratty girls are enthusiastic users of social networking sites, among others. I had to write a poem for English class at about age 14. I forget the exact instructions, but I...

Let's see you save a life, Mr. Smartypants.

Got up to 50 at 1550 grains of rice on the second attempt, with the assistance of my linguist parents. We have a vast vocabulary between us (not diction xdarkyrex), but were unfamiliar with many of the words at the highest levels. They seem to have foreign/local words. Some of the obscure stuff...

Vault 12 comic - The Forum Thread

Interesting. Agreed that a little less dialogue might be good though.

The Official Fallout 3 Demo Machine (sort of)

Huh? It don't impress me much. Who made it?

    Fallout 3 will feature DLCs

And you can sell that extra content later as downloadable content now? Seriously, if the core is a mess, I don't see them fixing it. All-nighters are unhealthy, even if motivated by real passion, but I would be happy to see their game delayed if it is what it takes to make it passable as an...

    Play.tm previews Fallout 3

A better, more balanced preview, although I don't see why the pseudo-turn based comment comes up in spite of his presumably following Fallout. I wonder if Pete is destined to do the same demo presentation for many more months due to the lack of a comparable alternative?

MSN Tech and Gadgets UK interviews Pete Hines

I'm also worried that they are relying on the collapsing of proper writing and detailed consequences into karma score, resulting in few subtle affects. That might be much less work and less challenging, but would lead to a shallow game. I prefer more direct scripting and lovingly applied detail...

Let's see you save a life, Mr. Smartypants.

Peak of 46, falling to 40 soon after, with 800 grains of rice. A large proportion being educated guesses. Now I need to get back to cramming for my undergrad final exams next week, but maybe I can procrastinate with it a little another time. One can look for clues among what you already...

    Swearing BoS Paladins? Nope.

Good news, but such misbehaviour shouldn't have been there anyway, and should have been suppressed quickly. Looking to speculation, did 'Initiate' Reddin happen to be wearing power armour instead of combat armour? So the Brotherhood are presumably well established in the local area, showing a...

Introduce yourself! AKA the "Say hello" thread

Welcome newcomers! And longtime lurkers. I was one too, unwilling to post due to my ignorance, which is commemorated in my sig (I'm marginally less ignorant now), but was drawn into the open by some other sad piece of Fallout news. You know what to expect, so feel free to join the...

    IGN interviews Pete Hines

You'd think these journalists enjoy taking the piss. Sadly, the humour in unintentional.

    Atomic Ninjas talk Fallout 3

Calculating degree of scatter as you suggest does seem to fit, and could be applied on top of the V.A.T.S. roll, looking again at the hitting the chest comment, so they could be integrated.

Which is why I am still unclear on the details of the real time accuracy mechanics, and keep going on about wobble etc. I originally assumed that there would be a consistent system, but these comments suggest that there are two parallel systems if I am not mistaken.

    My Fallout Wallpaper!

I suppose duplication may be excessive when it isn't explicitly wallpaper, even if some might like to see it in wallpapers in files.

    Atomic Ninjas talk Fallout 3

Thanks for compiling. What was the evidence for die rolls in real time? That was contradicted in the Community FAQ, so it might be incorrect/redundant now.
